Hello Twitter, today is my first birthday without my mum. I decided to use the day to launch something I hope would make her proud. #grief instagram.com/reel/CoWxzOPoJ…

Sending love to anyone else who finds today difficult. I’m so grateful to not be waiting another year for my first cuddle as a mother, but I would sell my soul for one more cuddle with mine today. instagram.com/reel/Cp-TPZAIE…

And this is what well planned #bereavementsupport looks like. My daughter's teacher checked with her in advance what she'd like to do for #MothersDay2022, liaised with me about what she was planning & then helped my daughter make the card that she wanted. Absolutely perfect ❤

Today’s a good day. My dad @biffosmith14 finished 7 & a half weeks of radiotherapy for stage four incurable prostate cancer. During his treatment, he walked the equivalent of 8 marathons during January, didn’t drink alcohol for 64 days & raised over £8000 for @prostatecanceruk

So many of us struggle to know what to do or say to help someone who is grieving. Please share. Thank you 🧡 #Griefkid

People often admit they don’t know what to say. If in doubt, try this 👇. Validation. Compassion. Hope. Thank you, Marjorie ❤️ #WidowedYoung #TerminalCancer #Grief

My mum died 19th July 1985. Lit & I were married on 31st May 1986. My amazing Katie has created the wedding portrait that I would have given the world for. Priceless, beautiful, and me flanked by the two women who I loved with all my heart. I hope they’ve met up somewhere now x
I’m blown away by the response to The Missing Portraits- Thank you! It’s such an honour to make such precious artwork. Here’s a WIP for my dad’s b’day- a portrait with his mum on his wedding day #grief ⁦@biffosmith14⁩ instagram.com/reel/CopN2SxoK…

Thank you D Bear 🐻 xxx
Hugely proud of my daughter Katie & what she launched on her birthday 7th February. I’m really moved by the comments she is getting back from people suffering the #Grief of a lost loved one. Her video gets me every time I watch it (& that’s been lots). Xx (Tweet 18.5k views 👏)

Katie is creating a very very special missing portrait for me at the moment. I’ve seen a first draft and it is truly beautiful - it will mean the world to me. She has captured the essence of someone that sadly she never met perfectly.
My 1st missing portrait. My mum died when my son was 13 days old. I wished we had a photo of the three of us together so I decided to make my own using 3 different reference photos. It will hang in his nursery as a happy reminder of how much he was loved by his wonderful Granny.

Grief makes books even more powerful. Whether or not I can read this page out loud without tears at bed time has become my grief barometer. Today is a no.
