A change in the role calls for a change in the bio!
After 7 years in KS1 and almost 5 years leading the phase, my journey as EYFS & Nursery Leader and Reception Teacher begins.
Thankful I get to make this step in the same school ✨
It was such a pleasure to be a guest on @WeLeadWellPodc1 with Vicki. A great platform and a wonderful host, who made me feel like I was just talking to a friend.
Thank you for giving me the space to share and to (hopefully) inspire! ✨

The first Y2 narrative writing sequence of the year - wow! The progress from September to now is incredible. Still skills to embed but we’re so proud of their commitment these past two weeks! 👏🏼 We can’t wait to see where they will be in July ⭐️ #primarywriting
As always, an amazing pantomime trip for our @Ks1Western children in the beautiful @HGtheatre. Thank you for your hospitality. Always a pleasure to take the children out; they represent our school so well 🌟

A child in my class has carried their comfort dog toy everywhere for the past 2 years. It is an extension of him. Said dog was in class photos, on the house point chart and even had his own tray. Yesterday, that child gifted me my very own Dodo and I cried a thousand tears. ❤️
My highest need child listened to the Y6 leavers song today…
Child: Why aren’t they saying Miss Ward’s name?
1:1: Miss Ward teaches in KS1 so they’re just saying Y6 teachers.
*heard lyric about changing lives*
Child: But she has changed my life, they should sing her name.
It’s been over a year since I first became involved with this network after presenting virtually at the launch event. Really looking forward to delivering an in-person keynote and officially meeting the @StepUpNet_Ed team 🌟

Thank you for joining us at YWP, we hope see you again next year 😍
We had an amazing day at @YorkshireWP yesterday 🦁🐍☀️ The workshop was fantastic & the children were full of knowledge. Behaviour & attitude was exemplary, as always! Their little legs walked about 7 miles in total yet not one of them complained ⭐️ @PrimaryWestern

It's the penultimate day of #VolunteersWeek2024!
Our events this year have been a huge success, but this is due to so many people volunteering to speak at them!
We are so thankful and could not have done it without you! 👏
As a phase leader, something that gives me immense pride is when we can show that a collaborative decision made between me and my team is working.
We stripped our writing curriculum back in Y1 to solely deepen their understanding of sentence structure. This is the outcome… ⭐️
My Y2 class never fail to blow my socks off! Check out some of our amazing character descriptions for stories on plastic pollution & endangered animals! 🌍🐢📚 #EcoWarriors @Ks1Western

🎉📚 So proud of our Year 2 children for their outstanding non-chronological reports on Emmeline Pankhurst! They've impressed us with their research and creativity. Keep shining, young historians! 👏 #PrimaryWriting #ProudTeachers"

I thoroughly enjoyed our conversation @Miss_Ward1. Thank you. Building the coaching relationship through purposeful talk is a powerful way to identify, learn, improve.
I had my first coaching session with @vincent_lucy this week and it has lifted such a weight off my shoulders already.
Never underestimate the power of talking ❤️
Thank you to @RKLTPeople for organising this within our Trust.
