The only thing of my dad's I have is literally his phone. Miss him life is so much harder
Replying to @DanisonPatience
The lawyer brought out a file.
He explained that our father had visited him six months before his death and made an unusual request.
He had asked the lawyer to keep a record of the person who had consistently paid his medical bills during the final two years of his life.
My siblings exchanged glances.
Then the lawyer turned to me.
"Your father instructed me to give you this document."
It was a statement of account showing that, for two years, I had paid almost all his medical expenses from my salary.
I was confused.
"Sir, I already know I paid those bills."
The lawyer nodded.
"Your father knew you would say that. He asked me to tell you something else."
He handed me a sealed envelope.
Inside was a letter.
My father wrote that he had noticed how his children behaved whenever money was involved. He had watched them argue over his property while I quietly took care of him.
He explained that he had set aside money to reimburse the medical expenses I had paid on his behalf. It wasn't the exact same amount, it was much more than I spent.
The money was not a reward for being his favourite.
It was money he owed me.
My siblings went silent.
My elder brother finally muttered, "You should have told us you were spending so much."
I looked at him.
"I did. You said you had your own responsibilities."
Nobody answered.
I collected the documents and left.
I didn't get the biggest house. I didn't get the land. I didn't get the car.
But I recovered the money I had spent caring for my father, and I finally understood why he had kept records of everything.
Sometimes, the person who appears to have received the least is simply the person whose sacrifices nobody bothered to count.
It was great to see for sure definitely had tears. Loved the prayer circle for Tyquan with both Chiefs & Raiders.
This game ball is definitely gotta go to Tyquan always the spark when we just gotta have it and even when we just need it. Many prayers for full recovery.

So you mean to tell me that someone down your ancestry line survived being chaıned to other human bodięs for several months in the bottom of a disease-infested ship during the Middle Passage, lost their language, customs and traditions, picked up the English language as best they could while working free of charge from sun up to sun down as they watched babies sold from out of their arms and women rapęd by ruthless sIave owners.
Took names with no last names, no birth certificates, no heritage of any kind, braved the Underground Railroad, survived the Civil Wąr to enter into sharecropping... Learned to read and write out of sheer will and determination, faced the burning crosses of the KƘK, everted their eyes at the black bodies swinging from ropes hųng on trees...
Fought in World Wąrs as soldiers only to return to America as boys, marched in Birmingham, hosed in Selma, jailed in Wilmington, assassinated in Memphis, segregated in the South, ghettoed in the North, ignored in history books, stereotyped in Hollywood...
and in spite of it all, someone in your family line endured every era to make sure you would get here, but you receive one rejection, face one obstacle, lose one friend, get overlooked, and you want to quit?
How dare you entertain the very thought of quitting. People, you will never know, survived from generation to generation so you could succeed. Don’t you dare let them down!
It is NOT in our DNA to quit!

I’ll never forget Trent McDuffie’s 3rd‑and‑4 play that saved the game in Super Bowl LVIII. Thanks for the memories. Go be great in LA @trent_mcduffie 🥹

I’m sharing it again. Out of all of my favorite Trent McDuffie memories, my favorite will always be shutting down Ja’Marr Chase and having him crash out so much that he drew a flag for unsportsmanlike conduct with the chillest ref in the NFL
How in the world did we not win with this routine with the execution alone!??!!! #rippedoff @ttupom
