I am so devastated to hear of the murder of Imam Muhsin Hendricks, gunned down today in Gqeberha.
It is very likely a homophobic hate crime.
Hendricks (57) ran the Inner Circle, South Africa's first support group for LGBTQ+ Muslims.

A big misconception about Greenland that since it’s labeled a Danish colony, its residents are just a bunch of white dudes named Kristian—which is extremely inaccurate. The population is 85% Indigenous! It belongs to the Kalaallit, not to Denmark and CERTAINLY not to the U.S.!

My entire scientific career I have been cautioning against climate doomerism. It’s dangerously unhealthy for young people and leads into apathy.
Humanity won on ozone depletion. Much of the world has been successful on acid rain and air pollution. Climate is winnable.
