The children enjoyed a worship in the forest today, where we talked about why we celebrate Black History Month @MrGSGC

KS1 were lucky enough to have our scientist for this half term, Gerry Tissier, come in to talk to the children about what he does as an Ecologist! The children planted wildflower seeds and even got to watch a video that children from a school in Uganda had made for us! @MrGSGC

This morning we came together for a special Picture News live assembly, celebrating Black History Month. We learned more about the theme 'Honouring Our Communities' and discussed how we can make our own positive contributions to our community. @MrGSGC

Year 2 used tens and ones in Maths yesterday to support their understanding of flexible partitioning! @MrGSGC

The children have enjoyed doing some observational drawings of leaves as part of their scientific investigation today! @MrGSGC

We have been celebrating European Day of Languages today! We learned about Spain and had fun learning some of the numbers and colours in Spanish! @MrGSGC @missvgsgc #SGCSpanish

Well done to our EYFS and KS1 children for a fantastic Harvest Festival Assembly! The children spoke about the things they are thankful for and shared some of their artwork to show this. @MrGSGC

Year 2 had a great Boxing taster session today! @MrGSGC

Y1/2 have had another week full of lots of great learning! We have sequenced the events of the Great Fire of London in History and have learned how to use a mouse and keyboard in Computing - we even made scenes of the Great Fire using the Paint app! @MrGSGC

Year 1/2 have had a great week! They have been learning how to play dodgeball in PE and have learned all about the parts of a plant in Science! @MrGSGC
