Can't imagine having to pick a husband or partner from a pool that listens to & internalises sermons like these. This is another version of the manosphere! Good luck to everyone involved especially the women.

The real test is whether Rwanda can turn global attention into sustainable investment, jobs, business opportunities, and economic returns that justify the public cost.
Criticising Rwanda’s Formula 1 ambition without examining the economics is an incomplete analysis.
F1 is not just a race; it is a global business platform that can attract tourists, investors, sponsorships, international media, and spending in hotels, restaurants, transport, and local businesses.
But let’s be clear: hosting costs money, and success is not guaranteed.
The question is not whether Rwanda is small, landlocked, or with low GDP. It is whether the economic strategy is sound, the risks are managed, and the benefits outweigh the costs.
Judge the deal by its numbers, not by the size of the country.

Agreed. I could add that Rwanda's being landlocked, twice by Kenya and Uganda, makes its production costs high.
It then has to focus on attracting international events and visitors, so this events approach makes sense.
But it comes with risks, like a high debt-to-GDP ratio.

Before the announcement, the planning. Before the planning, the research. Before all of it, the courage to imagine it.
This is what visionary leadership and audacious ambition look like🙌🏾🙌🏾
Africa, we’re back. 🌍

The stop-motion animation work behind LAIKA’s WILDWOOD (2026) is absolutely insane.
136 handcrafted sets, over 200 practical puppets and 49 animators working across 231 weeks, with some shots producing just 1–4 seconds of animation per week.

This is actually sad. The level of superstition and intellectual backwardness in statements like this is disturbing. What’s even sadder is that people can sit there, hear this, and never question it.

There is something so perfect about the denouement to his career, all farce and fluff, avarice and self-aggrandizement, so far from any feat of prowess on the field and so steeped in the slop of our social-media culture. A story for our cynical, disenchanted age.
