BREAKING: In a stunning moment, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy just went on TV and made clear that Donald Trump is abandoning Ukraine. Just weeks after Don Jr's wedding paid for by a Russian oligarch, this happens. The corruption is astounding.

Our Pope is recovering and we should always pray for him for good health.
Prayer helps him stay strong as he gets better each day. Many Catholics are asking God to bless him with peace and energy. We can remember him in our daily prayers at home or in church. His recovery reminds us to care for one another and stay united in faith. It is a good time to offer a special intention for the Holy Father whenever we pray. May God grant him good health and continue to guide him in his service.

Not a word on Twitter still about the flagrantly authoritarian and racist raid on Ilhan Omar’s home by the Trump administration from multiple top Democrats, including shamefully @SenSchumer, but glad Barack Obama is finally speaking out on it. Other Dems should follow his lead.
It is a basic principle of American democracy that the government can’t selectively target individuals simply because of their political beliefs or what they say. But that’s exactly what the Trump Administration is doing to Congresswoman Ilhan Omar of Minnesota.
To understand why this is so appalling, it’s important to know the facts. Congresswoman Omar came to this country with her father when she was 12 years old. Five years later, her father became a naturalized citizen. If Ilhan had been 18 at the time, she would have had to apply for citizenship separately. But because she was 17, she became a naturalized citizen automatically.
Congresswoman Omar went on to graduate from college, work as a community organizer, become the first Somali-American legislator elected to public office in the U.S., and win a seat in Congress. There, she has been one of the Trump Administration’s fiercest critics, which has led the president to repeatedly single her out as someone who he believes does not belong in this country.
Now the Administration is actively trying to deport Congresswoman Omar, seemingly based solely on the unsubstantiated theory that she was actually 18 when her father was naturalized, and therefore is not a citizen. Federal agents have raided her home, confiscated personal records, and seized her phone — all to try and uncover a nonexistent smoking gun from 20 years ago that will somehow make their case.
Think about that. The full weight of the federal government is being brought down on a law-abiding elected official because she has dared to criticize the president. And it’s not the first time this has happened. Under President Trump, the Justice Department has repeatedly gone after those he considers his political enemies — from the Attorney General of New York, to the former head of the FBI, to members of the Federal Reserve.
In those cases, the prosecutions either stalled or were dismissed for having no basis in law, and the same is likely to happen in this case. But not before Congresswoman Omar’s life has been turned upside down, her legal bills have piled up, and she’s been forced to spend time fighting unsubstantiated charges instead of serving the people of Minnesota.
The fact that any president, or any administration, is willing to engage in such transparent efforts to intimidate someone should outrage all Americans, regardless of how they feel about Congresswoman Omar’s political views. Because if this becomes the new normal, there’s no reason to believe it will stop with her — or that future presidents, in either party, won’t do the same.

No one believes America’s economy is fine just the way it is … except for Washington Republicans. It’s time to vote them out.

“They always say America first. Nobody ever says Americans first.” It’s $1 billion a day for a war Trump promised he wouldn't start.
Only person in that room that had any balls.
On October 16, 2019, I told Donald Trump, “With you, Mr. President, all roads lead to Putin.”
On October 16, 2026, Trump signed an executive order waiving new sanctions on Russia passed by bipartisan majorities in Congress and signed into law just last month.
This decision insults America’s commitment to democracy and our brave men and women in uniform, as Russia helps Iran target American forces.
I join Republican senators in condemning this unconscionable capitulation to a Russian dictator who illegally invaded Ukraine and butchers innocent civilians.
As I have asked for years: What does Putin have on Trump that he would sell out America’s values?

10 years ago today @HillaryClinton nailed the bleak future ahead if Trump was elected.
“Clinton: Putin would rather have a puppet as president. You won't admit the Russians engaged in cyberattacks against the US, that you encouraged espionage against our people, that you spout the Putin line, sign up for his wish list, break up NATO, do whatever he wants you to do.”
Every word is true. Tragically, his capitulation to Russia is even worse than imagined.

Pope Leo is already back and led the prayer at the Vatican following his discharge from the hospital. His voice is needed more than ever. It was an honor to meet with him last fall with Ukrainian children who been abducted by Russians and the Church helped return them to their families. 🙏

Let us together pray for our Pope Leo XIV, asking the Lord for his full recovery and good health.
Healing Prayer for Pope Leo XIV
Heavenly Father,
We come before You with humble hearts and place our Holy Father, Pope Leo XIV, in Your loving hands.
You are the Divine Physician, the Lord who heals the brokenhearted and restores the weary.
We ask You to touch him with Your healing power.
Bring strength to his body, peace to his mind, and comfort to his soul as he recovers from surgery.
Grant wisdom and skill to his doctors and caregivers.
Ease any pain or discomfort, and let his recovery be steady and complete.
Protect him from every complication and fill him with renewed vitality.
May Your Holy Spirit rest upon him, giving him courage, patience, and deep trust in Your providence.
Surround him with the prayers of the whole Church, that he may feel the support of Your people throughout the world.
We ask this through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Health of the Sick, and in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
Amen.
