Still baffled by what @travisk single-handedly built.
A $10B+ FCF business, already massive, still growing 15%+
I think $UBER has a shot at a 10x, driven by:
1.multiple expansion
2. Revenue growth on AVs not fully priced in + Delivery Hero growth (joining Uber One ecosystem)
$UBER Q3'26 earnings are out — another strong quarter of growth and expanding profitability, with record engagement across our platform:
✅Gross Bookings of $59.8 billion, up 20%+ for the fifth straight quarter
✅Non-GAAP EPS grew 35% YoY to $0.88
✅$10.4 billion in free cash flow on a TTM basis, another record high
🚗Driver & courier earnings well over $25 billion = more than $100 billion annual runrate
🤖Scaling fully driverless autonomous vehicles, with ~700 expected in 2026, 2,000+ in 2027, & tens of thousands starting in 2028
As we enter the busiest quarter of the year, our priorities are clear: build on our momentum, and deliver against our AV milestones, while continuing to grow profitably.

I’ve noticed a trait within successful people that has a 100% hit rate - taking action
You need to force your brain into taking action, rewiring it entirely. You need to be decisive. Never wait more than 3 seconds before making small decisions. You can’t decide between 2 food places? You have 3 seconds. You can’t choose what shirt to wear? You have 3 seconds
I received one DM a few days ago that my audio was muffled - I instantly went and bought the headphones with the best audio
Action action action, you need to drill it into your brain
Decisions need to be fast, and once you’ve made your decision it’s done - no regret or thinking

In a weird way, everybody is rooting for you. When you go to a job interview, the interviewer wants you to be amazing so they don’t have to look anymore. when you go on a date, the person wants to have an amazing date with you. If you make a piece of content, people want to see amazing pieces of content and they have no problem if it’s yours.
the instant you get into the mindset that people want you to do well, your entire world gets better. And you’ll be shocked to know this pattern keeps repeating in different areas of life.

$UBER
The Uber Acquisition Paradox
Uber keeps exploring acquisitions that improve earnings, and yet, they may be hurting the company. For each of acquisition outside autonomous vehicles, the math looks fine. Bolt on another delivery business, another travel or logistics play, and you squeeze out a few more cents of EPS. Each deal makes sense on its own, but they may be missing the bigger picture.
Uber doesn’t have an earnings problem. It has a narrative problem. The bear case is very simple: when autonomous vehicles scale, the AV companies (Waymo, Tesla, etc.) cut out the middleman, or at best take most of the profits, changing Uber's economics for the worse. To be clear, I do not share this view. But you don’t beat that narrative by buying a catering or grocery app.
Every non-AV deal is seen by the market as management hedging against an AV future, as if they don’t believe they’ll win autonomy. Whether or not it is true, this reinforces negative sentiment and compresses the multiple even further, offsetting any earnings gains from the acquisitions.
Why does a depressed stock price matter? Well, a cheap stock price makes equity deals much more costly for future AV partnerships or acquisitions, which could be critical to Uber's future. It also makes stock comp more dilutive and top engineers harder to keep. It hurts morale and sentiment. Stock price does have real impacts on a company, as much as some of us like to dismiss it.
I am bullish $UBER, but it has nothing to do with incremental earnings improvements from non-AV acquisitions. I am bullish because I believe Uber has the scale, network, data, and management team to be a major winner of the AV transition. Uber is doing the work to make this happen, but it's time to convince the market.

A timely reminder that leaked Israeli studies found that pushing pro-Israel propaganda to Westerners didnt work & instead they advised spending millions blasting the West with racist Islamophobic content demonizing Muslims instead.
I think about that a lot while browsing Twitter

“Cybercab will win on price”
Yet every cybercab update looks like this: double the wait times and price. People love paying double the price for their 20 minute trip to take an hour.

I must be among an extremely small group of people (n=1?) that have both 1) trained a frontier LLM and 2) designed and synthesized custom viruses in a lab with my own two hands.
And I think that the takes on AI killing us all by creating dangerous viruses is total bogus.

A few days ago, $TSLA unveiled its robotaxis and its own app, which may have contributed to $UBER falling from $80 to $70.
Some of the best funds in the world recently made $UBER their largest or one of their largest positions. It is important to understand that a top position is not a side quest. It is not a small position taken just to see what happens. It represents deep research by some of the smartest investment teams in the world.
Do you really believe these funds somehow missed Tesla’s robotaxi plans or the possibility that Tesla would launch its own app?
I worked at a medium hedge fund in NYC, so I know how this works. Before making such a large investment, the fund manager and analysts responsible for the position speak with the best industry experts, former employees, competitors, and senior people across the sector. I can assure you that these funds who are considered among the best in the world studied the robotaxi threat from every possible angle.
Could they eventually be wrong? Of course. But the idea that they invested billions in $UBER without considering $TSLA and robotaxis is ridiculous.
That is why I increased $UBER to around 29% of my portfolio yesterday.

“We need aggressive founders with large ambitions.

“It is underestimated how much of a difference aggression and ambition make. I think 95% of a company's success is that.”
“A lot of people find excuses why they can't build a big company. Too much regulation or not enough funding. None of that is true. They're all excuses.”

Your entire life will change when you realize energy is the most attractive human trait. Not looks, wealth, or status. Energy. Start walking into rooms with genuine enthusiasm, curiosity, and interest. Watch what happens. You become a magnet for the highest quality people. Energy is contagious. Everyone's trying to find a man in finance, 6' 5", blue eyes, trust fund.
But the hardest criteria I've found with dating is finding someone happy. Truly happy, loving life, filled with optimism, and grateful for everything.
By far rarer than hot billionaires.
