It’s a two-way race, with eight days to go. Among undecided voters, 61% say they won’t vote for Mark Sutcliffe. I’m working to earn those votes and deliver buses that run on time, affordable housing and a city that works. ottawacitizen.com/news/alex-…

You’re paying more and getting less. Mark Sutcliffe is content to manage Ottawa’s decline. I’m running to reverse it. My plan: a dedicated 1% infrastructure levy, about $40 a year for the average household, to fix our roads, pipes and transit. Let’s build a city that works.

Hopped on the bus after canvassing and the ride turned into an impromptu town hall, with people asking questions and sharing their thoughts. A good reminder that some of the best conversations happen on the way home.

Ottawa is aiming too low and costing people too much. I wrote about what I’d do differently as mayor, and how we get Ottawa back on track: ottawacitizen.com/opinion/je…

Minister Jill Dunlop told a parliamentary committee that she and the Premier offered support after the flooding. She also said there was a delay in accepting the help.

I’m committing to building 1,500 new non-profit and affordable homes every year by using city land and partnering with non-profit housing providers. I’m the only candidate making that commitment. ottawacitizen.com/news/mayor…

Decisions about our transit system should include people who actually use it. It’s time to bring riders back to the table by restoring a citizen seat on the Transit Commission.

What are you going to cut Mark?

OC Transpo ridership has fallen for seven straight months. That’s what happens when you cut service and leave people waiting for buses that don’t show up. I will reverse the Sutcliffe cuts and make transit reliable and useful again. When transit works, people use it.

Ottawa deserves a workplace policy that works for people, not blanket mandates that add traffic, congestion, and costs. I’m calling on the City to reverse its return-to-office mandate and bring back flexible work where it makes sense. Add your name: leiper2026.ca/petition_rto
