One of our best and brightest. Priya is too important to throw away her $10 Starbucks that she paid for by replacing an American with her H1B job.

That half-century between 1860 and 1910 wrecked the Founders' America Even leaving aside the 48ers supporting Lincoln as legions of Irish migrants marched off the boats and into the invading armies, the Gilded Age migration of socialists and anarchists from Central, Southern, and Eastern Europe fundamentally transformed American politics for the worse and added a radical leftist bent that had been essentially absent before then The consequence of this was decades of feuding between capital and labor, American politics being pushed dramatically to the left, anarchist terror, and socialist subversion. That chaotic state of things, as represented by teh assassination of McKinley at the hands of some migrant and the JP Morgan bombing, is what brought about the 1924 Immigration Act, which saved America So yes, being a worse position than then is very much a bad thing
Actually, while it is true that the foreign-born share of the population hit a record high in 2025, it's actually not significantly higher than where we were for half a century between 1860 & 1910. Those immigrants & their children were Americans then, too.

And there it is
I stand by everything I’ve said and will happily say it again: your ethnic cleansing panic over becoming a numerical minority is making the rest of us miserable. Hopefully when white people are finally 49% of the population you will knock this shit off. In fact, you racists are making everyone so miserable that I can’t wait until you are replaced. Please retweet and share.

I can't speak for anyone else, but my objections to immigration are not so materialistic as feeling jealous that an Indian might outearn me or a Mexican might speak Spanish in front of me or whatever. It's not that those "quality of life" issues that are frequently cited aren't a factor, but my primary objection would still remain even if every immigrant perfectly LARPed as a white American. No, my objection is far deeper than that. I want a place that I can call home, that feels like home, that has some continuity with the place I grew up in. I want to be around people whose minds are fundamentally legible to me, who look like me, who speak like me, and with whom I have a shared ancestral history. I want to live among my own people, with our own ways, and be able to say, "this is home, this is where I belong, this is where I am rooted." I never wanted to be a deracinated, rootless nomad, but here we are. There is a deep pain that comes with seeing your home fundamentally altered beyond all recognition and to know that it can never come back. Even if every immigrant was sent home, I don't think the social fabric of American society would recover in my lifetime, if ever. Mass immigration has largely resulted in Americans adapting to the new low-trust society, with detrimental outcomes. Every one of these immigrants has a recognisable place to call home, a place to return to where their people and history and traditions remain as they left them, a place where their lineage has continuity. But they would happily deprive us of all these things they value and preserve for themselves just so they can enrich themselves at our expense. I've never met a single immigrant who felt even the least bit bad about their participation in destroying absolutely every single white European homeland. There is not a single place left in the world that I can reasonably call home. Not the country I grew up in, not any of the countries my ancestors came from. But they don't care. A lot of them even laugh about it and want to rub it in our faces. And my consolation prize for this is supposed to be... *checks notes* ...that Pedro and Pajit are thriving financially as a result of their exploitation of my homeland?

I don’t recall seeing your thoughts on this but if you want “heritage Americans” speaking for you then I guess it’s about not wanting to compete with the world?

Micron is receiving $4 million in tax breaks for every job it is creating in Idaho. And most of those jobs are going to immigrant newcomers and H-1Bs. What exactly is Idaho getting out of this?

I believe the national GOP purposely is tanking the midterms so they can blame Trump's immigration enforcement for them losing. They will deny it was the Iran war, and they will instead blame Trumps domestic policy. That's what their play is after election day.

If you stay home because you want to "teach the GOP a lesson", you have the opposite effect you intended. The GOP DOES NOT think "Wow, I should've done better to earn that person's vote. I will change my ways and better align with their priorities next time". Instead, the GOP DOES think "That person is unreliable, I am not going to cater to them. Rather, I will cater to this other group of voters that did show up." The party drifts further away from you when you stay home. Your priorities are represented less than the priorities of those who showed up. The future belongs to those who show up. @kingpilled

I got a wild idea. How about everyone who voted for Trump in the last election show up on midterm Election Day, send Republicans a filibuster proof majority and we take one last crack at making sweeping changes that could stop the radical left for a generation.

The very fact that the “What is an American?” conversation is happening is more important and fundamental to our victory than convincing current conservative ideological gatekeepers that they are wrong. The dialectic is what matters. Winning is about momentum, institutional integration, and implementing the vision, not about convincing debate participants.
