#Landmines are cruel weapons, however you look at them. Often waiting silently for their victim long after conflict has faded. 90% of their victims are civilians & 45% of those are children ‼️ We know this because @minefreeworld @MineMonitor has collected this data for decades

9 years after losing her leg from an EO accident, survivor Srey wants to be a doctor and help her family build a house. She shared her story at @minefreeworld's event on the 2024 Landmine Monitor, reporting the most mine casualties since 2011, with more than 1/3 being children.
