I watched Briann January's sideline confrontation with Caitlin Clark last night, and I am absolutely disgusted that we are having this conversation AGAIN.
How many times are we going to watch these heated exchanges before someone inside the Indiana Fever organization intervenes?
Where is Caitlin Clark's agent? Where is the front office? Where are the other coaches? Where are the people responsible for protecting the players in this organization?
SOMEBODY NEEDS TO STEP UP.
I have coached basketball for 25 years. Players need correction, accountability and sometimes tough conversations. But the repeated spectacle of an assistant coach visibly yelling at the team's franchise player raises serious questions about how this coaching staff communicates with its athletes.
Briann January should be removed from the Fever and Caitlin Clark's coaching environment immediately.
The Indiana Fever have an obligation to investigate these repeated interactions and establish what is happening.
Caitlin Clark should not have to navigate this situation alone.
