We’re excited to share that Codey is now powered by @SingularityNET’s OmegaClaw agent framework, which allows him to remember past interactions, learn from them, and adapt based on new experiences.
For us, this gets to the heart of our mission: bringing the human side of robotics to life. These advanced memory and adaptive capabilities help Codey better interact with his environment and build an ever-deeper understanding of the people around him.
This demo offers a first glimpse of how we’re putting the framework to the test.
For the final demo of our @SingularityNET Omega framework integration, we’re showcasing Codey’s ability to find up-to-date information on the web.
Here, Codey’s giving recommendations for the nearest pharmacies based on online reviews.
With the @SingularityNET Omega framework, Codey can reason through commands and use timers to help you stay on track throughout the day.
In this demo, he’s helping one of our engineers remember to take medication, by navigating to his desk to alert him.
Another successful conference in the books! Thanks to everyone who stopped by to give Codey a fist bump at IEEE SMC 26 👊
Throwback to last year, when our cofounder @BenGoertzel interviewed Codey 🎤
We will be at #SFTechWeek with @BGILabs next Wednesday to demo Codey. RSVP below ⬇️
Join us in San Francisco for Scaling Beneficial General Intelligence, part of @Techweek_ by a16z, on Wednesday, October 7, to explore our Hyperon AGI framework and get an exclusive look at Hyperon-based proto-AGI applications, including Codey, the humanoid social robot.
During the event, you will hear from our CEO, Dr. @bengoertzel, and the BGI Labs team on our vision for beneficial AGI, engage in executive discussions on AI and related technologies, and explore collaboration opportunities.
If you are attending #SFTechWeek or working toward open beneficial AGI, we look forward to seeing you there. Learn more and register now: partiful.com/e/89KihRL3L93GA…
This week, we finished development on an animation editor, which allows Codey to learn from and imitate people's movements. We're working towards making Codey move as naturally as possible🕺
Our CEO, Chris Kudla, sat with Sam from the Inside AssembleAI podcast for a chat about Mind Children, social robotics, and future developments on Codey.
Listen to episode 72, available wherever you get your podcasts.
Codey is going to the IEEE international conference on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics in less than two weeks 🤖
Throwback to last December, when Codey and our team traveled to California for the annual Humanoids Summit.
Last weekend, our CEO Chris Kudla and robotics engineer Nile Fahmy joined @SingularityNET’s BGI Hypersprint kickoff as judges.
They had a great time judging and giving feedback to the amazing projects, which were all thoughtfully built for real-world, practical applications.
Happy Friday! This week, our engineers ran more tests on the new arm prototype. Codey can’t wait to get the next upgrade 🦾
Two years ago, Codey used a different wheeled base. Today's version is more stable, less prone to falls, and just as modular.
For part 2 of our OmegaClaw demo series, Codey plays Pictionary. Previously, Codey operated in a request-response loop, requiring new human input to keep going. With OmegaClaw, he can take in new information and adapt his behavior on his own.
Here, that means guessing until he gets the answer. In the real world, it means continuously adapting to the people and environment around him.
Happy Friday, and we hope you enjoy the long weekend 🥳 This week at the lab, we started building our first tester robot, which will serve as a platform to develop new features such as the version 2 arm we’ve shown previously.

We’re unveiling our brand new website, with a cleaner look that helps people understand our mission and how to get involved.
You can also sign up for our newsletter on the homepage 🗞️
Throwback to two years ago, when Codey lived on Vashon Island. Here’s a photo of him looking a bit different without his head.

Happy Friday! This week, our team tested Codey’s vision and navigation skills in our custom simulation tool. The tool lets us try out a virtual instance of Codey, which helps our engineers test out new features.
Stay tuned for further updates!

Join us this Friday, August 28, 2026, at 6 PM UTC for the kickoff of HyperSprint #1.
During the session, we'll introduce the available challenges and tracks, give participants an opportunity to connect and form teams, and outline what to expect as the first HyperSprint weekend begins.
Chris Kudla and Nile Fahmy from @MindChildren_AI will also demonstrate an early experimental integration of our OmegaClaw agent framework with Codey, their humanoid robot.
HyperSprint #1 is still accepting new participants. After creating a profile, you can join an existing team, form a new one through the HyperSprint page, or take part individually.
