Tiktok: You can't apply for creator stuff, you're using a business account (this was a global issue that they were having btw a while back that they knew about and were trying to fix)
Tiktok support: Dw dude we got u, it says you're not using a business acc is all good
Me: checks and yup, no longer saying I'm a business acc
Also me: checks a few months later
Tiktok: you're permanently disqualified from applying for creator stuff as you're using a business acc
Also tiktok on main account settings page: "looks like you're using a personal account, why not switch to a business one"

No. It's not true.
I tell people when they're starting out to be careful what advice they follow, as some of it is straight up bollocks.
This is one of those pieces of advice.
I've had a starting soon screen since day one; it gives people time to filter in after the "live" announcement and to get the first ad out of the way before we say hello and start chatting.
Whenever I see people without some kind of intro or starting soon screen, they're normally just sat there either faffing around with stuff and not focusing on chat anyway, or just sat there staring at the camera waiting for something to happen. You do also have the people who press start mid sentence or convo too, which imo is just messy.
A starting soon screen gives professionalism, it gives taking the time to customise your channel, it gives building excitement for the stream to start.
I've never once had someone come in and complain I have a starting soon screen.
The only starting soon screens I have an issue with are the ones that are on that screen FOREVER. 5 or 6 minutes max. Mine goes for 5:30 with an animation at the end to tell everyine IT'S HAPPENING!!!!
No need for it to be longer, unless you're experiencing issues.
If you're a small streamer, this is true
Imagine This: Your viewer gets a notification that you went live, Clicks it, Then is disappointed to get hit with a 5 min (or longer) Starting Soon screen
They'll leave.
Large streamers can do long 'Starting Soon' scenes because their audience will actually sit through it (they've built a strong community over years)
When youโre smaller, you donโt have that pull yet.. It's better to just get straight into the stream
Went on a teams call at work yesterday.
As a vtuber, there was something DEEPLY sickening and unsettling seeing my face on the screen instead of my model.
I felt like I was doxxing myself the entire time.

erm be careful when you put customizable models on your throne wishlist, cause for some reason the model was funded and is now owned by throne's vgen account, instead of giving the person the money to buy it for their own account ๐ซจ
When you spend years brainwashed into thinking that products with fancy names and chemicals are bad, and the peak of skincare is a bar of soap and maybe some moisturiser.
Then you hit 30 and find out all the issues with your skin and the things you hate about your face could've been avoided.
But now, you struggle to justify spending the money on the things your skin needs, because there's always that little thing in your head telling you that stuff is a waste of money and doesn't work.
Currently attempting to undo 30 years of damaging and abusing my skin and realising just how good skincare can be for you ๐ญ
