We’re aware of reports of lost funds involving Ledger devices bought through reseller Cryptobilis, and we’re following the situation closely.
For SafePal users, several layers of protection help flag a tampered or previously used device before you trust it with your funds:
1️⃣ Device Authentication. The first step of setting up any SafePal hardware wallet verifies that the device is genuine and has never been used before:

2️⃣ Activation history alert. If a hardware wallet has been activated before, the SafePal App warns you and shows the date it was first activated, so you’ll know it isn’t a fresh device
3️⃣ Tamper-evident packaging. Every device ships with seals that show whether the box has been opened before it reaches you
