Basketball has a lying problem. Everybody says they want to win. Until winning means fewer shots, harder defense, a smaller role, passing up good for great, and cheering when you thought you’d play more. Everybody wants the trophy. Few want the truth it takes to earn it.

Oh how many times have my guys heard this!!!

Just added a really good team/program to our pre-Christmas event Dec. 18&19th. They are looking for some great competition just as we are. Iron sharpens iron. No entry fee. Less than 30 minutes from 2 different beaches. Great atmosphere to play in. Shoot me a DM if interested! 🏀

Our approach is very much this same way! 🎯💯🏀
Danny Hurley’s Approach
“Their son has to work harder, he has to do more, he has to earn his role. We’ve got a real old school culture here of accountability. The expectations of effort. The focus on winning and we over me”

So cool that this guy in the shooter shirt gets to be part of a final 4 experience after being denied the opportunity to play his senior year!

Great weekend for our team at Pensacola State. Our team and players improved in many areas each and every game. We still have miles and miles to go but we did gain a few yards this weekend. Finished the weekend 4-0. Back to work on Monday. 4 practices & 3 games next week.

Wanting to win is easy.
Being willing to win is not.
Average teams want to win.
Great teams are willing to do what winning requires.
Greatness is not about what you want.
Greatness is about what you’re willing to do and what you’re willing to sacrifice.

Preach preach preach!!!!
"Body language screams for everybody to see.
In most cases, it's an immaturity thing.
But, the second part of it is- a lack of mental toughness.
My point to them is- how we think and act has to change if you want how we are playing to change." @CoachCalArk

First day of summer games yesterday. As with everyone in the summer we were missing guys but super proud of our young guys with their performance vs varsity competition for the 1st time and to our junior and seniors for their leadership. The future is bright! 🏀💯👍

Today showed the progress our program has made and is still making! These young men and this team is getting there. A long way yet to go but steps are being taken both individually and team wise! Summer season is a week away.
