💙🚔 Honoring Those Who Helped Build Our Department 💙🚔 Yesterday, we had the privilege of hosting our 1st Annual Retiree Luncheon, welcoming back retired members of the Milpitas Police Department for an afternoon of great food, plenty of stories, and reconnecting with familiar faces. ❤️💙 Our retirees also had the opportunity to tour the department and see some of the upgrades, improvements, and new technology that have been added over the years. A lot may have changed, but one thing hasn’t , the sense of family and pride that comes with being part of MPD. It was great hearing old stories, sharing some laughs, and catching up with those who helped shape our department into what it is today. A career may end, but the connection to our police family doesn’t. To all of our retirees: thank you for your years of dedicated service, the traditions you established, and the foundation you built for those who followed. We were proud to welcome you home and look forward to making this tradition even bigger next year! 💙🚔 #MilpitasPD #MPDFamily #RetireeLuncheon #ThankYouForYourService #PoliceFamily

💜 October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month 💜 Domestic violence doesn’t always leave a visible mark. It can take many forms, including physical violence, threats, intimidation, emotional or verbal abuse, isolation, and financial control. It can affect anyone, regardless of age, gender, background, or circumstance. This month, we encourage our community to know the signs, check in on one another, and speak up when something doesn’t seem right. Sometimes, simply listening, believing someone, and helping them connect with support can make a meaningful difference. If you or someone you know is experiencing domestic violence, help is available. You are not alone. 💜 The Milpitas Police Department is committed to supporting survivors, holding offenders accountable, and working alongside our community partners to help keep our community safe. 📞 Local resources include: • AACI (Asian Americans for Community Involvement): (408) 975-2739 • Community Solutions: (877) 363-7238 • Maitri: (888) 862-4874 • Next Door Solutions to Domestic Violence: (408) 279-2962 • YWCA DV/Rape Crisis: (800) 572-2782 💜 Know the signs. Support survivors. Speak up. Together, we can help build a community where everyone feels safe, supported, and heard. #DomesticViolenceAwarenessMonth #DVAM #SupportSurvivors #EndDomesticViolence #MilpitasPD

🚔 Robbery Investigation Leads to Three Additional Arrests and Multiple Firearms Seized What began as a response to an assault and robbery in August led to weeks of follow-up work by MPD detectives, and the arrest of three additional suspects. The investigation began after a juvenile was assaulted and robbed of his belongings by multiple suspects near the 1300 block of E. Calaveras Boulevard. At the time, Officers identified and arrested a 15-year-old Milpitas resident, but the investigation didn’t stop there. As detectives worked to identify the remaining suspects, they uncovered additional evidence showing those suspects were in possession of multiple firearms. Detectives identified and obtained arrest warrants for an 18-year-old and 17-year-old Milpitas resident, and a 15-year-old San Jose resident. On Tuesday, MPD’s SWAT team and Criminal Investigations Bureau served arrest and search warrants at three homes in Milpitas and San Jose. Firearms were recovered at each of the three homes. All three suspects were arrested and booked on robbery, conspiracy, battery, and multiple firearms-related charges. We would also like to thank the Santa Clara Police Department, Los Altos Police Department, and Campbell Police Department for their assistance in serving these warrants. This case reflects the persistence of our officers and detectives and the teamwork of our neighboring agencies. Thank you to our partners for helping bring these suspects into custody and keeping our communities safe. 🤝💙 #MilpitasPD #PublicSafety #Teamwork #CriminalInvestigations #SWAT
