Night 1 of the 59th Annual “Western World Championships” at Central Arizona Raceway in Casa Grande, Arizona. Believe it or not, this is a new track for me. 38 USAC National Sprint Cars along with 34 USAC Southwest 360s are on hand for this 3 night extravaganza. We are live on FloRacing all weekend long.

The irony of Davante Adams suffering a ruptured hamstring the week before he plays the Raiders is outstanding. Maybe he shouldn’t have faked a hamstring injury two years ago while refusing to play for the Raiders and lying to the press about it as he was demanding a trade from Vegas to the Jets. He got traded and miraculously, he suddenly “felt great” and was “ready to play”. You see, karma is REAL. That’s what you get for quitting on your childhood team, ya fucking diva.

The Raiders were in it to the end, just as I hoped. A couple of major mistakes cost them a victory, but they played the Chiefs tough all the way to the final play. This is a vastly improved football team with a bright future. Sure feels nice to say that for the first time in YEARS. Kirk Cousins playing like he’s 30 out there. Smart decision making Field General. Reminds me of Rich Gannon at times. Just not as mobile. Happy with the effort and the fact that we competed at a high level with arguably the best team in the league right now. I will take the 3-1 record at the quarter pole. Lots of football left. Looking forward to seeing how it all unfolds.

After my whole weekend at Knoxville was rained out by mid-week, I picked up some work for the weekend. Heading to Indy this morning for two nights of USAC National Sprint Cars.

Checkered flag flew on tonight’s World 100 a few minutes after 11pm EDT. Helped strike the TV compound and checked out of Eldora at 1:28am, drove to my hotel room in Greenville, arrived at 1:48am. Showered, changed, and finished packing all in 37 minutes. Left the hotel at 2:28am and drove to Indianapolis International Airport, arriving at 4:06am. Dropped my rental, got through security and at my gate by 4:32am EDT. Will board in 1 hour and be home by 7:05am CDT.
