I’ll never understand his stubbornness about going really skinny on depth at key positions. I feel like being more willing to shore those up would have done wonders for his overall results. Figured time would inevitably fix that — oh well.

The Pacers today waived James Johnson.
Unlike Charlotte’s 15-man roster forcing Pat Connaughton’s release, Indiana is carrying 14 players. Apron concerns led to parting with a vet it hoped to keep as a locker room presence.
No surprise if Johnson is re-signed later this season.

Uniqueness: B+. The tree is the best part about it. Overt flag motif mightve helped.
Draw-ability: B. Kids could doodle this reasonably well, which is inexplicably rare now.
Longevity: C. Doesn't feel timeless. Could be a prisoner of the moment.

Royce White takes his WNBA Draft campaign straight to an Indiana Fever game, showing up courtside in a long blonde wig and getting plenty of attention from fans.
The former NBA first-round pick says he's there to support the league and "scout some of the competition" as he pushes his bid to enter the 2027 WNBA Draft.
White says his declaration is meant to force the WNBA to clarify whether biological males can compete in the league. His legal team has threatened discrimination litigation if he's blocked from competing.
