MOAA was proud to attend the Army Ten Miler in partnership with COA. Though the race took place in a rain storm, our running team persevered and still met their goals, had fun, and crossed the finish line! We can’t wait to see you again next year--register here: hubs.li/Q04Bhygy0
Military spouses, we saved you a spot! Two of our own military spouses checked out the future home of the MilSpouse Lounge at #TotalForcePlus! It's a place to connect, recharge, and find your people. And we can't wait to welcome you. Register now at hubs.li/Q04Bg-pD0.
Shoutout to the Washington @Commanders who recognized one of our Government Relations Directors, Jen Goodale, for her service. As part of the NFL's Salute to Service initiative, and the work of @Fanatics, Jen and her family were taken in a limo to the game and got to meet head coach, Dan Quinn! A special thanks to Chris Bailey who helped make this happen.
As an organization that works to support the entire uniformed services community, we appreciate the work of the Commanders to do the same!
What does the + in TotalForce+ mean? It means bringing the entire military community together — all eight uniformed services, military spouses, veterans, civilian employees and more — to connect, share ideas and build community. Because bringing people together is what MOAA does. And at TotalForce+, we're making room for everyone. That's the + in TotalForce+. That's the power of MOAA. Join us! Happy 251st birthday, Navy! While the sea service was established in 1775, it wasn’t until 1972 when Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Elmo Zumwalt authorized official recognition of Oct. 13 as the Navy’s birthday.
Join us in celebration and tag your favorite sailor in the comments!

What comes next after military service? For some, the answer may be business ownership.
Transition is a key focus at TotalForce+, and this year attendees can explore franchising as a potential path after service. Start with a session in the Networking Hub to hear directly from franchise leaders about the industry, what ownership looks like, and why veterans can be a great fit — then continue the conversation one-on-one with participating organizations on the exhibit floor.
Connect with @VetFranIFA and franchise brands including @Neighborly, @SportClips, @HHHelper, and @PortofSubs to ask questions, learn about opportunities, and get a better understanding of what franchise ownership could look like for you.
Whether franchising is already on your radar or you’re simply exploring what’s next, TotalForce+ is a great place to start the conversation. Go to hubs.li/Q04zNkYp0 to join us.
TRICARE beneficiaries take note: DEERS will be temporarily unavailable this weekend. Read more here: hubs.li/Q04zL0HT0

Supporting servicemembers as they become veterans is incredibly important. Better coordination between the VA and DoW could help ease that transition. Read more about how new federal changes could make a positive difference: hubs.li/Q04zh_Y00
The Military Officers Association of America (MOAA) was proud to attend and support last night’s Valor & Velocity gala at the GM Design Dome, supporting the mission of the @CMOH_Society.
Representing MOAA, Amanda Centers and Leslie Janaros joined an incredible evening honoring service and sacrifice. Thank you to @GM, @GMDefense, and the Congressional Medal of Honor Society for bringing everyone together. It was also great meeting the Society’s executive director, Chad Graham.
Sharing the evening at the table of Medal of Honor recipient retired Master Chief Special Warfare Operator (SEAL) Edward C. Byers Jr. and his family was the highlight. It was a privilege to meet them and share such a special evening.
It was also great connecting with Tom Landwermeyer of Homes For Our Troops and AJ Foyt Racing team president Larry Foyt, and capturing a photo with driver Dennis Hauger alongside the No. 14 @HomesForOurTrpsTroops Chevrolet.
Grateful for the work these organizations and their partners are doing to support our veterans and families. That same commitment is at the heart of what we’re building at MOAA’s TotalForce+ in February 2027, where People Outrank Everything.
Welcoming three new partners to TotalForce+! If you're navigating a career transition, these are organizations you'll want to meet. Please join us in welcoming @fourblock, The National Association of State Procurement Officials (NASPO), and @wgu to the TotalForce+ community. From career opportunities for veterans and military spouses to public-sector expertise and flexible education pathways, the Veteran and Transition district on the exhibit hall floor is packed with resources to help you take your next step. Connect with these partners and more at TotalForce+, February 2–3, 2027.
For Maj. Gen. April Vogel, USAF (Ret), MOAA's Vice President of Government Relations, it's personal. Having served, led and transitioned, she knows the value of bringing our military community together to share experiences, build connections and learn from one another. Whatever your next chapter looks like, there's a place for you at TotalForce+. Join us Feb. 1–3 at National Harbor. hubs.li/Q04yYljd0.
