China’s CCP is extending its repression beyond Tibet and into Canada. Dr. Gyal Lo fled Tibet, only to face legal intimidation on Canadian soil for exposing Beijing’s colonial boarding school system and the forced assimilation of Tibetan children. While he was speaking up for Tibet’s children at the UN in Geneva, Chinese legal documents were delivered to his home in Toronto.
This is transnational repression, not a legitimate defence of “ethnic unity.” Beijing is weaponising its laws to silence critics abroad and punish anyone who exposes its abuses. Canada must not allow the CCP to export its authoritarian rule onto Canadian soil.
SIGN THE PETITION. Call on Canada’s Prime Minister to stand with Dr. Gyal Lo, defend freedom of expression and stop China’s transnational repression in Canada. Silence only emboldens Beijing.
