Close look at radar shows #Cyclone #ARNAB's tiny, intense inner core is deteriorating, perhaps due to ERC (eyewall replacement cycle). This will end strengthening & may even lead to weakening. One tradeoff: ERC will yield larger core & wider coverage of destructive winds. #India

Our monthly educational support for A/L and University students through Affinity Foundation continues. Every month, we help students stay focused on their education by supporting the costs that can often become barriers to continuing their studies. It’s a small, ongoing commitment but for a student working towards a better future, it can make a meaningful difference. We continue to invest in education, opportunity and people. ❤️ #AffinityLK #AffinityFoundationLK #Education #HigherEducation #AffinityWay

When my coach asked me if I could get a sponsor for bread for breakfast for the cyclists once they reach Colombo, I thought of @PaanPaanLK immediately and they wholeheartedly said yes and stepped in to support this worthy cause. A heartfelt thank you from me to Paan Paan 🙏❤️

Spent the weekend with a headache, feeling completely out of it, was blaming it on a migraine or incoming flu. Slept terribly on Friday too. Then this morning it hit me (Pun intended)🤦‍♂️ I knocked my head on a scaffolding at a client site, brushed it off at the time and kept working. Guess I probably have been wandering around in a concussion daze since. Even my wife said no wonder you were walking around like a zombie. Brains are weird.

I need help. I been wanting to setup a mobile breakfast kitchen at the Maharagama Cancer Center on Sundays (my only free day)using my Jeep for some time. I even reached out to @HarpoGooneratne who very kindy shared his number and even @Rosh_Maha Aiya (but didn't tell him about this idea) I didn't follow up out of lord knows what fear. Every time I think I'm ready to do it but then I back down for some reason. Can anyone help me? I'm willing to learn the basics at a restaurant on the weekends to make this a reality somehow. I have run community kitchens, school meal programs, helped my friends setup restaurants and worked in their kitchens and run the pass before but nothing in terms of formal training. Specially scared because I'll be feeding vulnerable patients and families that come for treatment etc. How can I make this work? Any help or advice or someone to just push me over the edge is appreciated.

Not bad if is say so myself. Quite a fast prep. Didn't add any sauces. The time taken to boil allows me to prep the rest. Popped a coule of eggs in for good measure.

We need to protect original journalism in Sri Lanka. Investigative reporting takes time, money, expertise, resources and often considerable risk. Simply lifting that work, adding a token credit and monetising it is not journalism—it’s benefiting from someone else’s investment. Technology will keep changing how news is consumed, but original reporting still has to be paid for. We need a modern framework that protects journalists, demands proper attribution and ensures fair compensation for commercially reused work. If we don't protect the people who produce the news, eventually there will be no one left to do the hard work.
It is very annoying when you work on a story (and that entails a LOT of work, sourcing, resources, manhours and stress) and someone just lifts it off and publishes it. Some Sinhala papers don't even attribute it. Other platforms just throw in a credit and monetise it. Yeah, I'm in a mood.

"Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing..." The inhumane acts of Easter Sunday have left an immeasurable weight to bear, not only for those who lost loved ones, but for their families, friends and communities; for the families of those who carried out these attacks; and for those who failed to prevent such a tragedy. I spent countless days in Katuwapitiya, walking from home to home, listening, consoling and working alongside families as they tried to rebuild their lives. I have heard their cries for justice and understand the pain that lies behind them. I hope this verdict brings some measure of closure and peace to those who have carried this pain for so long. But as we seek justice, we must also ask ourselves: are we punishing the innocent along the way? Justice must hold those responsible accountable, while ensuring that those who had no part in these crimes are not made to carry a burden that was never theirs. May we learn from this tragedy, heal, and hope that we never have to face such darkness again. 🙏
