Taking Jimmy Kimmel off the air is unthinkable to me. When I had my free speech issues, Americans told me “That could never happen here. We have the First Amendment to protect us.” Well… it’s happening. #JeSuisJimmy
Kimmel always defended free speech. Yes, he’s on the left, but he was a free-speech advocate. I met him when Just for Laughs did a benefit for me, he was there to show support. He hung out and smoked weed in my dressing room. He was the nicest guy. #JeSuisJimmy
If he’s off the air, it’s only because the FCC scared ABC. This is 100% political. USA was THE global symbol of free speech, it's turning into a pale copy of a once great nation. Shame on you America. #JeSuisJimmy

I spent 10 years battling the legal system because of a joke I told on stage.
I was fined by the Quebec Human Rights Commission, lost in court, appealed, lost again, and had to take my case all the way to the Supreme Court of Canada.
I finally won.
This isn’t just about Brazil.
