The judge who signed the warrant to raid Rep. Ilhan Omar's DC home is a Hillary Clinton donor who clerked for an Obama appointee. That fact alone demolishes the left's claim that this is some Trump-orchestrated political hit job. Mike Davis argues the opposite is true: the evidence against Omar must be so overwhelming that even a judge with deep leftist ties couldn't refuse to sign off. The Fourth Amendment requires probable cause of at least one federal crime inside that home, and U.S. Magistrate Judge Matthew Sharbaugh — appointed by a bench dominated by Obama and Biden picks — found it was there. Omar's allies in Congress, including Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Jamie Raskin, and Rashida Tlaib, cried political revenge. But Davis says the simplest explanation is the most damning one for Democrats: a federal indictment may be coming before Christmas, and the evidence trail appears to reach well beyond Omar alone. President Obama weighs in on the @IlhanMN investigation.
It is a basic principle of American democracy that the government can’t selectively target individuals simply because of their political beliefs or what they say. But that’s exactly what the Trump Administration is doing to Congresswoman Ilhan Omar of Minnesota. To understand why this is so appalling, it’s important to know the facts. Congresswoman Omar came to this country with her father when she was 12 years old. Five years later, her father became a naturalized citizen. If Ilhan had been 18 at the time, she would have had to apply for citizenship separately. But because she was 17, she became a naturalized citizen automatically. Congresswoman Omar went on to graduate from college, work as a community organizer, become the first Somali-American legislator elected to public office in the U.S., and win a seat in Congress. There, she has been one of the Trump Administration’s fiercest critics, which has led the president to repeatedly single her out as someone who he believes does not belong in this country. Now the Administration is actively trying to deport Congresswoman Omar, seemingly based solely on the unsubstantiated theory that she was actually 18 when her father was naturalized, and therefore is not a citizen. Federal agents have raided her home, confiscated personal records, and seized her phone — all to try and uncover a nonexistent smoking gun from 20 years ago that will somehow make their case. Think about that. The full weight of the federal government is being brought down on a law-abiding elected official because she has dared to criticize the president. And it’s not the first time this has happened. Under President Trump, the Justice Department has repeatedly gone after those he considers his political enemies — from the Attorney General of New York, to the former head of the FBI, to members of the Federal Reserve. In those cases, the prosecutions either stalled or were dismissed for having no basis in law, and the same is likely to happen in this case. But not before Congresswoman Omar’s life has been turned upside down, her legal bills have piled up, and she’s been forced to spend time fighting unsubstantiated charges instead of serving the people of Minnesota. The fact that any president, or any administration, is willing to engage in such transparent efforts to intimidate someone should outrage all Americans, regardless of how they feel about Congresswoman Omar’s political views. Because if this becomes the new normal, there’s no reason to believe it will stop with her — or that future presidents, in either party, won’t do the same.

Abdul says it’s Mike Rogers’ fault that his sister-in-law was on a terrorist watch list during the Obama administration. CAIR, a pro-terror hate group whose leader openly celebrated the October 7 Hamas massacre, sued on her behalf.
Michigan Democrat Senate hopeful Abdul El-Sayed acknowledged his sister-in-law was a plaintiff in a federal terrorist watchlist lawsuit during the Obama administration — just days before Barack Obama is set to campaign alongside him in the state. When asked by Fox News with court documents identifying Mariam Jukaku in a 2016 class-action complaint challenging her alleged placement on the Terrorism Screening Database, El-Sayed confirmed the connection but defended her, saying she "did nothing wrong" and blaming "the infrastructure that people like Mike Rogers set up" — a direct shot at his Senate rival. Despite El-Sayed's claim that she "sued and got off," a federal appeals court actually overturned a ruling favoring the plaintiffs in 2021, and a separate lawsuit seeking damages was dismissed in 2017. The FBI declined to confirm or deny Jukaku's watchlist status, citing government policy. Full story here foxnews.com/politics/michiga…

Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed tells @MikeTobinFox that his sister-in-law was on a federal terror watchlist years ago, saying she sued and was subsequently removed. EL-SAYED: "She did nothing wrong and was captured on that and then sued and got off. So the idea that you can be placed on something like that, because of exactly the infrastructure that Mike Rogers and his Flock camera and his Patriot Act and his surveillance state can do is exactly the point. So she sued. And what happened afterwards? You know what happened, right? She was removed... You've got this system where folks are guilty until proven innocent because they've got different kinds of names, because of the infrastructure that people like Mike Rogers set up..."

I’m told Trump was embarrassed by the coverage of Zacharia’s briefing and when he polled other aides about her, Zacharia had few allies willing to stand up for her or defend her performance. The main reason he rushed to select her after growing irritated with how long the process was taking to replace Karoline Leavitt was because he wanted more people defending him on TV. When she failed to do so in a sufficient way with Sean Hannity, Trump said he knew she needed to go.

The gloves are off in Michigan's razor-tight Senate race. @MikeTobinFox is on the scene in Pontiac as crowds line up for a campaign event featuring Reps. AOC and Ayanna Pressley. The showdown comes as Vice President JD Vance calls Democratic candidate Abdul El-Sayed a "little weasel" and tells him to "shut his mouth." With the race described as a statistical dead heat, both sides are pulling out their political heavyweights.
