How are any young men left wing I genuinely don’t understand

The Crombie campaign came armed with stickers. A spell-checker, apparently not.

The NFL only has one because they offered it in exchange for free agency, NHL and NBA only have one because teams were quite literally going bankrupt so it was cap or the league would eventually cease to operate
The other leagues were strong armed into a capped model. MLB and the owners do not have anything substantial enough for the players union to say yes to a cap.

I don’t recall a sport ever having the players “agree” to a salary cap. Most were put in place through lockouts or threats of one.

Came here with a bunch of promises, delivered on none of them, lied when pointed out, publicly complained his whole way out the door, helped one of their top players plan his way out of town, now that he's done he's gushy again because he wants that post-playing gig. 🤷♂️

Survey fans on cheaper tickets, $5 beers, free parking, no blackouts, every game on one affordable streaming service, no jersey ads and fewer commercials.
Funny how fan opinion suddenly matters when it aligns with the owners’ financial interests.
These guys aren’t prepared to sacrifice billions in revenue and risk a work stoppage out of concern for competitive balance. They do not give a shit about competitive balance.
Owners want a cap because they believe it benefits them financially. Full stop. The fan surveys are just a convenient way to sell it.
Trying to convince fans that billionaire owners suddenly care about them is insulting.
“Owners do not intend to pivot from their contentions. Their insistence on a cap and floor -- backed, the league says, by surveys that show fans want one”, per @JeffPassan

Because the only people that come out ahead under a salary cap system are the owners.
"But there will also be a salary floor!"
When the owners that already can't be bothered to spend money on their teams are FORCED to spend money on their teams, where do you think that difference is going to be made up? You think your coat of going to a game will go DOWN?
There are 3 MLB owners that are NOT billionaires (but, rather, just 9-figure millionaires).
A salary cap lets owners off the hook.

MLB is dedicated to a salary cap because they surveyed the fans…ok show me the survey on blackouts next.
Major League Baseball wants a salary cap and says it's to ensure smaller-market, lower-payroll teams can win in the postseason.
Milwaukee, Cleveland and Tampa Bay are winning without one.

OTD 25 years ago, Derek Jeter came out of nowhere to cut off a throw from the outfield and nail the runner trying to score. The @Yankees, who were facing elimination, held on to win the game 1-0, then won the next two games to capture the series, and “The Flip” became one of the most legendary moments of The Captain’s career.

I legit can’t believe the takes I’m seeing about Jazz Chisholm from Blue Jays fans looool. People are talking about the guy like he has an Aroldis Chapman type of history when in reality he’s just arrogant and sometimes makes mental mistakes

Sidney Crosby won two gold medals and went back to the American market team he plays for without any fucking issues. We gotta stop making excuses for these idiots. Hell, the CAPTAIN OF THE AMERICAN TEAM came back to his Canadian club team and played without issues. It's bullshit.
