Methinks @KoinangeJeff can be reckless sometimes. I'm glad @HonAdenDuale has reminded him of the need to have a "sober" discussion. @citizentvkenya

Allow me to weigh in on the Presidential Results Livestreaming debate. I was present throughout the tallying process at KICC in 2007 and Bomas of Kenya in 2013, 2017 and 2022. As such, I feel I owe the nation a historical perspective. We need all results livestreamed as the hard copy Form 34s get verified at the National Tallying Centre. But this is not enough. As IEBC receives the individual results from the Constituencies, they need to run an unverified national tally at the time of updating the public portal. So we will have two tallies for Presidential results per constituency - Verified and Unverified. The former based on electronic forms and the latter based on hard copies. Then Kenyans and observers can judge whether there is any Jose Camargo in the middle. If there is none in 2027, we run 2032 based purely on electronic forms and save the country that meaningless drama at Bomas. My 2 cents

It is IRONIC that those who claim to have loved Baba Raila Odinga are now abusing his family just because the family opens its doors to Kenyans of all political stripes! And they are excited they didn’t attend his 1st Memorial!
For us who truly loved Baba, his family comprising Mama Ida, Rosemary, Winnie & Jnr, will always have a special place. We will always honour & respect them.

At Kisumu State Lodge on 30 July 1998, Raila Odinga shares one of his characteristic parables, offering a glimpse of the storytelling tradition through which he often conveyed his thoughts

I can say without fear of contradiction that Raila Odinga is the greatest Kenyan who ever lived.

I want to offer an apology to the people of Nairobi, Kenya. The passion you have your city and homeland is amazing… We all make mistakes. I misspoke, and I am sorry to anyone I have offended.🙌

One of the best things about KRA's current tax amnesty is that there is no human touch.
You do not apply to any KRA manager ati woi please forgive my penalties.
There is 100% zero begging. No chasing. No finding out who knows who.
You simply log into iTax anytime. Find out how much you owe KRA. Pay the amount, without the penalties and interest. Then relax.
The system will do the rest on its own, delete the penalties and email you a certificate of forgiveness.
No human being approves anything.
This has cancelled kickbacks and bureaucracy, and the process is much easier for taxpayers.
This is commendable!
Are you taking advantage of the amnesty? Are you having any challenges with the process?

— DEVOLUTION PS Michael Lenasalon was a beneficiary of the broadened government in 2024 with his appointment by H.E President William Samoei Ruto coming after his nomination by our late Party Leader, the Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga.
He joined many Kenyans uplifted to public service from minority communities by the ODM Party.
The ODM Party in Samburu will retain many seats and recapture others we lost in the past.
I Joined H.E President Ruto in Samburu to congratulate PS Lenasalon.

My family and I are organizing a Harambee to happen on 5th September but I won’t lie, I am not sure if it will be a success.
I’ll admit, I am scared not many people will show up 😭
It’s a different thing to ask people to show up in person, on a specific day, for someone they’ve only met on this platform.
I’ve also tried several mainstream media houses over the past few months, hoping they could help amplify my story further.
Most couldn’t because of their own editorial policies around fundraising appeals.😭
Can I count on you? Will you help me mobilize for two weeks? Will you rally behind me when it matters the most?
I promise you, I will keep tweeting, I will keep showing up even when my body says otherwise.
I need you more than ever 🥺🥺

Four days ago I was scared to even hit post.
Today I'm sitting here overwhelmed, watching Kenyans do what Kenyans do best.
Show up for one another.
KES 186,000 on M-Pesa. KES 286,000 on Mchanga. That's KES 472,000 raised so far, and every shilling of it came from someone who chose to care about a stranger's story
I won't pretend this journey has been easy 🥹
The hospital visits, the dialysis, the fear of what happens if I don't get this transplant in time.
But these last four days have given me something I didn't expect: hope, carried by people I've never met.
We're getting closer, but we're not there yet.
If you've already given, thank you — you are the reason I still believe.
If you haven't, or if you can share this one more time, please do. Every post, every retweet, every shilling brings me closer to living the life I was fighting so hard to save.

I never imagined I'd be the one asking for help.
I've spent my life on the other side checking pulses, holding hands, telling patients "you'll be okay." Today, I'm the one who needs to hear that.
This is Day One of appealing to my 30 Followers, online community and well-wishers to help me raise the Sh6 million needed for my kidney transplant.
