Business owners have a patriotic duty to transform “jobs Americans won’t do” into jobs Americans will do—not to undercut them with cheap foreign labor. Instead, they’ve built an entire economy around low-skill immigration. It’s destroying our nation.⬇️ americancompass.org/a-constr…

At first I thought this was a parody. Denigrating the countries of our hemisphere as only worthy of visits by mere assistant secretaries. Presumably the Secretary should be in Paris, Brussels and Berlin talking about the rules based international order? The below is everything that has been wrong with the U.S. foreign policy establishment since the end of the Cold War.
Secretaries of State travel the world, to our biggest allies and to address the most pressing issues. But Marco Rubio does neither. His solo travels take him where assistant secretaries go. Rarely the boss. open.substack.com/pub/ivodaa…

*THIS* post perfectly encapsulates the decadence and degeneracy of the contemporary US foreign policy establishment. In this view, a US Secretary of State is only *supposed* to travel to NATO capitals because a successful US foreign policy is what makes diplomatic counterparts in Paris, Berlin, and Brussels raise a champagne toast to “shared values” while flinging open their borders, destroying their economies, and apologizing for Western civilization. God forbid a US Secretary of State show his face in Bogotá, Quito, or Lima because that’s where mere “Assistant Secretaries” are supposed to tread. This smug approach led not only to predictably catastrophic results in the Western Hemisphere but also in Europe itself, where the combination of moral vanity and strategic incoherence also proved toxic. But sure: keep holding your academic seminars, writing your unread articles, awarding each other meaningless prizes, and looking down your noses at Donald Trump and Marco Rubio.

.@SecRubio: "Too often, these days, we build downwards. We design our standards to ensure that no one will lose. We preoccupy ourselves more with the comfort of the worst than the potential of the best. We hold the most exceptional things among us hostage to the average."
.@SecRubio: "The things we owe to this place as Americans — and as Westerners — are actually far, far deeper... What blossomed here in this place was the Western desire to uncover all that ignorance, darkness, and distance had kept hidden from the mind of man."

Jacob Reses is such a talent, such a pro and a patriot. As he moves on from being Vice President Vance’s Chief of Staff, I wish him success and happiness in whatever his future holds. He will be a dear friend always.

One year since we lost the great Ed Feulner, Founder of @Heritage and one of the most impactful conservative activists ever. How honored I was to discover that Ed displayed this photo in his office right to the end--and thanks to the excellent Missy Stephens, now I get to display it in my house forever. More importantly, I get to live the rest of my life infused with the inspiration of Ed's gusto and the dedication to build upon his vision. What a blessing... – at Martin's Additions, MD

For 250 years, the American flag has flown as an enduring banner of courage, sacrifice, and freedom. Today, we’re proud to put Old Glory on full display at the State Department in Washington as we celebrate 250 years of America. 🇺🇸

It’s been a very exciting week in the Miller household. Hawthorne Hayes Miller was born on June 3rd at 9:04am growing our crew to 4 kids 5 and under. Babies are the absolute best. Our home is filled with so much love, laughter, and joy. It’s an incredible feeling to know that you can make an entire person from scratch. I truly recommend parenthood — it’s a 10/10 life experience.

Today is a day I hoped would not come. But young, brilliant and talented people grow and move on to new chapters. Robert Gabriel has worked tirelessly for President Trump for over a decade. He was by my side as we built and managed the 2024 campaign to historic victory, organized the White House team during transition, and played a pivotal policy role during the ambitious first 100 days of the second Trump administration. Over the past 12 months, Robert has achieved great success as the Principal Deputy National Security Advisor to President Trump and to National Security Advisor Marco Rubio. Most of all he’s been a trusted confidant and dear friend to me and his White House colleagues, Thank you, Robert. We wish you much success in your endeavors ahead. Very well earned, my friend.

On May 14 and 15, the United States hosted two days of highly-productive talks between Israel and Lebanon. The April 16 cessation of hostilities will be extended by 45 days to enable further progress. The State Department will reconvene the political track of negotiations on June 2 and June 3. In addition, a security track will be launched at the Pentagon on May 29 with military delegations from both countries. We hope these discussions will advance lasting peace between the two countries, full recognition of each other’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, and establishing genuine security along their shared border.

– LFD

I was on one of those flights today and I can tell you the professionalism shown by the team executing our evacuation. They were meticulous, kind, and respectful. And more importantly, they got us out secretly and safely. Every single person from the Embassy staff, to the consular DOS task force, to the security detail.
