Another great @StephenKing book. Throughly enjoyed it. The horror doesn’t come until the very end. #bookcover

If you’re like me and you hop from one gigantic fantasy novel to another, in between you might need a break and read something completely different. I’ve been reading these old Michael Crichton paperbacks thrillers. They’re quick, fun, and a total palate cleanser. @CrichtonBooks

Never thought I wouldn't like this book. Read it, didn't like it. Too procedural and bland. #booklover

Loved Pet Sematary. Now one of my favorite Stephen King books. Loved the ending, one of his best. @StephenKing #bookstagram

Great read, especially if you like Greek mythology. Reads like Circe’s memoir, very episodic. #greek

Today on @TheDigitalBits website – A 4K remastered Dances with Wolves: Extended Cut is coming to Locarno—could a 4K Ultra HD release be next? thedigitalbits.com/columns/b…

Always been a fan of the films but missed the train on the books when they came out. Starting in January, I started reading them. I finished, and I get the hype now. Spectacular books! Filled with some of the best world-building I've ever read. @harrypotter

Weavingshaw is a good little gothic fantasy. Reminds me a lot of the film Crimson Peak. The book very much has that vibe, @DelReyBooks

Just rewatched my favorite animated film. Peter Pan (1953) for me this is Disney at the height of their powers. They cooked in the 50s. The first thing that struck me was how gorgeous the film is. Every frame hand done. Reminds me of an old house or concert hall

Where everything is hand carved and opulent. Frank Thomas the lead animator on Captain Hook and Mr Darling, is just working in god mode. Incredible artistry. I’m all for technology, but am often reminded how much we sacrifice for it.

Here's the correct answer on the Star Wars prequels. They're not good movies. They're not super enjoyable to watch. They have some quite bad elements. But they exist in a very good universe that feels full of stories and potential. They're good world building. The original movies takes place on the fringe, you never really see the galaxy they're fighting over. The prequel galaxy is dense, alive, populated. You can imagine being a jedi in it, a sith, a merchant, a simple man. And everything good after, clone wars, andor, rogue one, feels like its in that rich full universe the prequels made and set the tone of. The prequels weren't good movies but they were good for *star wars*. They made more stories possible and appealing to tell than before. The sequels were also bad movies but they were also bad for star wars. They fled the rich galaxy back to the fringes, killed off characters and whole political systems in bulk, ensured no post empire pre sequel politics could be interesting because we know it utterly fails immediately, ensured no new jedi order story would be interesting because it utterly fails immediately, and then left a bunch of new threads no one cares to follow. The movies arent that much less enjoyable than the pretty bad prequels. But their impact on the range and attractiveness of potential stories was the opposite, shrinking the pool not widening it.

This was simply a live action cartoon for kids. Like Gunn’s Superman. Nothing had any weight. It was just a lighthearted romp. Which is not horrible, just disappointing. Rotta the Hutt was so ridiculous it’s hard to fathom. #mando

I love these 4K box sets. Didn’t hesitate to pick this one up, as it’s one of my all-time favorite movies. The transfer on the 4K is fantastic. I love getting older movies in 4K. They look so good. Thanks to @orbitdvd for the score. #4k

Wow! What an incredible read. Kick-ass band of rejects on a quest, with violence, sex, combat, and disembowelment. What’s not to love? Just top-notch written characters. My favorite was Vigga!!! Looks like this is the first in a series. Bring it!!! @LordGrimdark

Always loved the key art for this. I love the angle (cat’s eye view) and the colors. Too bad the movie is terrible. Hadn't seen it in ages. It didn't hold up. Alice Krige gives it her best, though.
