You could limit the number of tagged players so there's an actual decision involved in who gets emphasized each week. It would be a pretty small UI feature, but it would connect scouting and gameplanning to actually playing the game in a way Madden currently doesn't.

Also, I would hope to see this entire integration utilize AI next year to keep it much more organic feeling. It's a good start, but it does not feel like a true negotiation but more of a word search activity that isn't fun or very rewarding.
