This is the result of many bad legacy decisions taken by UKRI hastily and without proper consultation, overseen by a government department that no longer exists. Surely the new @andyburnham government will want to take time to review this.

Much of our prosperity in the UK is owed to people in rural sheds who designed and made things. We’re good at it.
Whats odd here is not that the govt have legislated against Lister, Ginetta, Caterham etc.
They appear more to have forgotten they exist. 😳

He brought me to India and I will never forget it. @ZakirHtabla He celebrated my birthday with a huge party after his annual concert where we played together. A world treasure, his brilliance was known to all, yet his humanity was its equal. The greatest.

#RIP Ustad Zakir Hussain dies at 73
Perhaps the last of the legends whose name is synonymous with a musical instrument. End of an era.

Gun control is something I’ve supported my whole life. So many, many lives lost and for what?
Any government has a primary responsibility to defend and protect its citizens, especially its children. When it comes to guns - despite many attempts the US government has failed, time and time again, to make schools safe.
Easy access to guns - especially automatic and semi automatic weapons is an obvious threat to life. We need effective action and laws to make sure all children and all people can live safely without the threat of being murdered. -pg

This is incredibly sad.
The historic meat and fish markets of Smithfield and Billingsgate in London, which have been in operation for over 850 years, are being permanently shut down.
The City of London Corporation voted to withdraw their support for these markets, choosing instead to use the land for housing development.
