So saddened to hear of Gabrielle Kelly’s passing. Gabe was a trailblaser. Everyone’s awe of Gabe’s character, energy & conviction is beyond anything that words can express. Our warmest thoughts & prayers are with her family. Vale Gabe. You’ll always be an inspiration & beloved.
Magical, mystical Tinos. So much more than its rich religious history, although it does dominate the island
I haven’t posted for a while & friends are asking questions as to our whereabouts. We’re on the island hopping part of our 2024 Odyssey. This is Serifos…
20 years since the DIAMOND research group was formed - multiple grants, publications & impacts on depression in primary care. An honour to be involved with such a great group of people @ Uni Melb General Practice. Fabulous reunion & celebration.
This year’s Odyssey is over after 6 months in Greece & Europe. We return to Melbourne refreshed with so many wonderful experiences & memories. History, music, theatre, food, wine, nature, beaches, family, friends, & a constant stream of Aussies - not a single boring day #Greece
Lots of Australians in line outside Australian Embassy in Athens - fabulous to see such engagement on such an important issue.
Just voted in Athens & then had a sausage because, when a sausage is just a sausage, just enjoy it for what it is.
Chania (Crete) has it all! Amazing food & local wines, local & upscale restaurants/bars, nature, history (a 5000 year old olive tree for goodness sake!), culture, architecture, beaches, sunsets, etc. We could have stayed there forever! #greece #crete #chania #theOdysseycontinues
Rhethymno in Crete. An amazing city with significant medieval and renaissance history - Greek, Venetian & Ottoman influences to name a few. A rich artistic, architectural, cultural & culinary life - love, love, love!!! #greece #crete #rethymno #theOdysseycontinues
OMG - our amazing rental host from ManAhour rooms in Heraklion (Crete) just popped in to surprise us with a cake for our anniversary - this is Cretan hospitality at it’s most extreme! ❤️❤️❤️ #Crete #Heraklion #ManAhour #Greece #theOdysseycontinues
Most who know me well understand my passion for Greek music. During this year’s Odyssey, we’ve had the privilege of attending multiple concerts in Greece. Two days in a row seeing Natassa Bofiliou & a memorial concert for singer/composer Antonis Vardis were amazing! #Greece
Back to where it all began for my family. Leonidion & neighbouring town Poulithra are integral to the region of Kynouria in the Peloponnese. Even though the weather turned this week, it’s rustic charm & our connection to this land are never diminished #theOdysseycontinues #Greece
The Odyssey continues in a different country with a similarly ancient culture that is evolving with ongoing economic development. #theOdysseycontinues #China
