Happy birthday to comedian, presenter and actor Les Dennis, who turned up in Crossroads of 2003 as Physiatrist Dr Richmond.
Les appeared for a week from 7th April 2003.
He is probably best known as host of Family Fortunes, which was made in the same studio as Crossroads 2001-03.

The great cold food rip off from @McDonaldsUK & @ubereats_uk be warned, its very difficult to get any answers & apparently food that turns up not even warm-absolutely cold is acceptable within the policy, which suits only UberEats by delivering to more than one person at once.

This is economic illiteracy of a high order.
After separation Scotland would still use sterling. So it would have to borrow in £s to cover its massive budget deficit and promise lenders it would pay back in £s (or they won’t lend).
But after an unspecified transition it would move to a Scottish currency. But all the borrowing done during the transition would have to be paid back in sterling.
If the Scottish currency plummeted v sterling (likely given the size of the deficit, lack of credit track record etc) that could become an unmanageable burden given the likely poor exchange rate.
Scotland would have to borrow billions in its own currency just to convert to sterling to pay back lenders. Devaluing the Scottish currency further.
What a shambles that would be.
He has no idea what he’s talking about.

As someone has said in the comments, this really devastated her.
I do think though that it's even more testament to her characterisation, that before #Corrie she had only done amateur dramatics. She was brilliant as Annie.

GR-ANNIE WALKER
The Mirror reveals that #CoronationStreet's #DorisSpeed's real age is 84 and not 69 as she had claimed, leading to her retirement from the role of Annie Walker.
The massive gold tinsel decs that used to run across the shops in the 80s and the Christmas area with the metal frame and the samples a danglin' from above. Sadly, other memory is the person filling the pick n mix without gloves & wiping a snot across her hand before refilling 🤮

Who remembers Woolworths?
You’d go in for one thing.
Come out with Pick ’n’ Mix, a CD, something you absolutely didn’t need and somehow still have change left.
Proper British nostalgia.

SNP - Absolutely Shameful!
What else can you say about the SNP's record which has kept Scotland as the 'drug deaths capital' of Europe for all these years?
The SNP's policy of 'managing addiction' rather than getting people off drugs has failed
