The @LAKings aren't playing tonight, which means L.A. fans can watch another team in Black, Silver & White: @FriarsHockey, featuring Kings prospects Thomas Vandenberg and Blake Zielinski.

Don't forget that they are going to expand to 32. Maybe they go to 4 divisions in each league (or just 8 divisions overall). That would set them up for 4 division winners plus 4 wildcard teams in each league. The goal is to have more teams and more games in the postseason.
I like the shorter season. Selecting your opponent is silly though..
Do this instead:
- 3 division winners all get a bye to DS (what a crazy idea!)
- WC 2 hosts WC 3 in a 3-game series.
- WC 1 hosts that winner in a 3-game series.
- WC Winner vs #1 Division Winner
- #2 vs # 3 (both Best of 7)
#1 seed gets a clear advantage possibly playing a team that had to play SIX wild card playoff games.
I’ll hang up and listen.

On this date in 2013, the @Pirates clinched their first postseason berth since 1992 with a 2-1 victory over the Cubs at Wrigley Field. Starling Marte’s home run off Kevin Gregg in the 9th broke a 1-1 tie. Chicago’s Nate Schierholtz was thrown out at the plate to end the game.
Should the chart in the article list the participants "in thousands" rather than "in millions"? @SBJ
For five straight years, pickleball was the fastest-growing sport in America.
Not anymore.
According to a recent SFIA report, padel was the fastest-growing activity (+14.5%), while pickleball's growth slowed to +1.3%.
