AI cracking unsolvable math problems while being kinda mid at writing is a much-needed W for humanities majors after a rough 21st century.
"A House with 585 members would be a perfectly plausible size for a national legislature. It would still be smaller than the House of Commons in the United Kingdomor the Bundestag in Germany."
"Such a change would not require a constitutional amendment, just simple legislation"
A more constrained executive branch could begin to take shape with a smaller pardon power—and a bigger House of Representatives, Yuval Levin argues. theatlantic.com/ideas/2026/1…

The issue isn’t the boba tea, it’s the unnecessary TikTokification of pols- something literally no voters are asking for
I suppose that's accurate. I'm also completely in favor of @PackFootball moving their games to North Wilkesboro.

This. It’s why I still go into the bank branch to deposit checks and to the post office to buy individual stamps

Charlie Cook: While many have long predicted that Democrats will enjoy a “blue wave” election, I think of it more as a “red undertow,” which will pull many Republicans under and significantly trim the margins for many others.
A blue wave implies an endorsement or affirmation of Democrats and their policies. But Democrats' brand is still in tatters from 2021-2025, particularly 2021 and 2022, when they not only had President Biden in the White House but also majorities in the Senate and House. Fortunately for Democrats, this election will in most cases not be about them.
It will, of course, be mostly about the occupant of the White House. Over the last 90 days, President Trump’s political standing has transitioned from very unpopular to toxic and now to radioactive. cookpolitical.com/analysis/n…

NC and GA fading >>>
GOP operatives are already eyeing cutbacks in their spending against Sen. Jon Ossoff (D-Ga.), I’m told by well-placed party sources, and by October may have to cede North Carolina entirely and hand over a Republican-held seat. Internal Republican polls show former Gov. Roy Cooper leading that race by double digits, a margin that can perhaps be halved but not erased.
In both Southern states, Republican officials increasingly believe they’re wasting their money, and it would be better spent on flipping Democratic Senate seats in Michigan and New Hampshire, where their candidates are stronger and Democrats are more vulnerable.
Fittingly. Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas) hosted a fundraiser at a private home in Dallas Monday night, featuring former president George W. Bush, that included Rogers and John Sununu — the GOP nominees in Michigan and New Hampshire — but not the party’s nominees in North Carolina and Georgia.
