With that announcement done, I’m back off to the better social media apps.
Mastodon: @[email protected]
Bluesky: @mikebeas.com
One more thing before I go. I made a shortcut for iOS that can tell you if someone paid for their checkmark or it’s real. Enjoy.
This iOS Shortcut lets you find out who pays for Twitter Blue 9to5mac.com/2023/04/04/ios-s… by @filipeesposito
Logged back into this app for a bit of news. Twitter has suspended @fake_api, which I created and ran.
That was my last actively-used Twitter account. You can find me in Mastodon (mas.to/@MikeBeas) or Bluesky (@mikebeas.com).
Thanks to everyone who followed @fake_api over the years. It has been a lot of fun running this account.
Just coming back to wave goodbye to verification. I won’t pay for a meaningless “verified” check. I’m on Mastodon: mas.to/@MikeBeas
Elon killing @tweetbot means I won’t be spending much time here. The Twitter app is a dumpster fire.
Follow me at mas.to/@MikeBeas.
Anyway, come find me on Mastodon. It's better and literally can't shut down third-party apps ever. mas.to/@MikeBeas.
Third-party Twitter apps like Twitterrific and Tweetbot have stopped working tonight, but others like Aviary still work. Feels targeted.
If Twitter actually kills these popular apps, I'm not using Twitter for iPhone. It's absolute trash. Just came from Mastodon to say that.
Fedex just delivered a package my parents ordered to a house that isn’t even in the correct state. Some house in Mississippi. ???????
I just found out one of my first favorited posts on Mastodon was from a site running a fork of a completely different non-Mastodon software.
All of these federated social services talk to each other and accept each other as peers even if they aren’t the same type of website.
