In 2015 I was in Kyiv doing research for my @SothebysInst master's, and Voloshyn Gallery was one of the spaces I kept coming back to. It was a young gallery with founders who clearly had a long view.
In 2020 they exhibited Ivan Svitlychnyi's "Grammar. Fix." - an installation of graphic art and new media that grew out of his "Script" project at PinchukArtCentre. I left with a print. I still read it as a marker of that moment: a Kyiv gallery showing new media seriously, weeks before the pandemic and two years before the full-scale invasion.
Since then they've kept working through all of it. In 2023 they opened a second gallery in Miami. This June they brought Nikita Kadan to Art Basel Unlimited. And next month they're part of Zero 10: Generation, Art Basel's digital art section in Miami.
People talk about digital art "arriving" at the big fairs as if it came from Silicon Valley. Some of it came from galleries like this one, which were showing it in Kyiv long before it was fashionable and kept going when it would have been easier to stop.

This was the end of the Democratic party for working people, so it's especially interesting to hear this clown talk about labor. He's an entertaining personality, but Clinton was a ruin. You can draw a straight line from Clinton winning the White House to bankrupt Detroit.

I had high hopes for movies in 2026, and there are still some potential bangers loading up, but I don't think it's a good sign that the two best films released so far this year are a Spider Man movie and a picture from 1971.

When we talk about dropping literacy rates, it's specifically a public schools problem. Religious, private, charter schools and even homeschools mostly have no problem teaching kids to read.

MT JULIET, TENNESSEE - One of the homes of the Sinaloa Cartel that Federal Agents just busted was in Triple Crown off of Pleasant Grove Road near Walmart.
They were renting a home there.
