Muslim: you have to posit that somehow Muhammad ﷺ was deeply informed and acquainted with Hebrew, Aramaic, Greek, Arabic, Chinese medicine, ancient Egyptian history Christian: “oh yeah? Well Muhammad ﷺ was illiterate, he couldn’t have learned these things! Awkward!” 🤦🏾‍♂️

– at Terville, France

Can someone explain to me like I’m five what’s wrong with this tweet? 9/11 was a horrific terrorist attack in which thousands of innocent lives were taken . In its aftermath, the US launched one war based on lies that left scores dead and destabilized an entire region. We launched another that was arguably initially justified but poorly managed, went on far too long, wound up aimless, and also killed so many innocent civilians — then left the country worse off than we found it, and back in the hands of some of the world’s most vicious misogynist cretins. This is all tragic. Why is it bad or hard to hold all of those truths at once?

Muslims never said the Quran was revealed, taught, or transmitted with only one vowel pattern. From the beginning, the Prophet pbuh taught it in multiple revealed modes (Ahruf). Those modes were then preserved in what we now call the authentic Qira’at (valid modes of Qur’anic recitation). So when you see two canonical readings of the same verse, you’re not looking at a later accident. You’re looking at something that was already part of how the text was taught. That’s the first point: this is not an unexpected variant. It’s an expected, documented feature of the transmission. Now look at the the picture carefully the consonants are identical, same in every mushaf: The only difference is the vowel on the ت. Most readings, including Hafs from Asim, put a fatha there: عَجِبْتَ (ajibta). That means “you wondered.” Allah is speaking to the Prophet pbuh: “you marvel at their denial, and meanwhile they just mock.” Hamza, Al-Kisa’i, and Khalaf put a damma there: عَجِبْتُ (ajibtu). That means “I wondered.” Now the speaker is Allah Himself, highlighting how outrageous their rebellion is. Two readings. Two angles on the same scene. One looks at the Prophet’s astonishment. The other looks at the gravity of the disbelief itself. They don’t cancel each other. They stack. That’s why the skeletal script matters. If this were a scribal slip, you’d expect different consonants, a dropped word, a rewritten sentence, something messy. Instead you have the same rasm, two authorized vocalizations, both traced back through known chains, both recited publicly, both discussed in tafsir for centuries. Ibn Mas‘ud, Ibn Abbas, and others are already associated with this discussion early on. This was never underground. Then we have another example whivhndoes the same job in a simpler way: Al-Fatihah 1:4. One authentic reading is Maliki yawm addin - King of the Day of Judgment.
Another is Maaliki yawm addin - Owner/Master of the Day of Judgment. Kingship and ownership are not rivals. Together they say Allah has both the authority and the possession of that Day. Again: enrichment, not contradiction. So the whole argument only works if you smuggle in a false standard: “If there is more than one reading, the text must be corrupt.” That standard would make sense if Muslims had claimed a single frozen recitation, or if these readings had appeared later as secret corrections, or if they produced opposite doctrines. None of that is true here. They were taught, written, recited, and studied in the open. That’s the point.

She blocked me before I could respond to her lies. She indicated the article doesn't mention Jewish groups advocating for kosher options, so here is is below.
Replying to @Anna_TheTruth
That's wrong. Jews have, in areas where they band together, asking for, and gotten, kosher options in schools. The difference isn't the behavior, it's the media, and your controlled perception. Example: chabad.org/news/article_cdo/…

Again, we have mentioned this to you many times. Again, I have explained this to you before. Again, we have discussed this few weeks ago. Again, you are just recycling the same narratives. After this, you will go to Abdullah Ibn Mas’ud next. Next, you will go to censorship. Same old story from James. None of you can refute Islam. You only circulate the same narratives. The same cycle. The same narrative. Even if Jesus comes to say the same thing to you, you would still not be satisfied.

Repeating a story that was made public and explained in the Quran itself.... Zayd was a freed slave whom the Prophet adopted according to the old Arab custom In that culture, adopted sons were treated like real sons. Zayd’s marriage to Zaynab failed, they divorced, and then god ordered the Prophet to marry her Why? To destroy the false system of adoption that existed at the time.... the Quran clearly says adopted sons are not real sons (33:4-5) and the marriage to Zaynab was commanded specifically to break that cultural taboo (33:37).It wasn’t hidden. It wasn’t shameful. It was done openly to change a wrong tradition You just don’t like that the explanation exists

Islam is not a romancing religion like Christianity but a discipline one. Qur'an 60:8 _"Allah does not forbid you from those who did not fight you in religion and did not expel you from your homes, that you deal kindly and justly with them. Indeed, Allah loves those who act justly."_ Explanation: Allah commands us to be *kind, fair, and good* to non-Muslims who are peaceful. And He says He loves those who act justly. Qur'an 5:8 _"...And do not let the hatred of a people prevent you from being just. Be just; that is nearer to righteousness..."_ Explanation: Even if we disagree with them, we’re still commanded to be "just" with non-Muslims. Qur'an 16:90 _"Indeed, Allah orders justice and good conduct and giving to relatives..."_ Explanation: "Ihsan" = good conduct/excellence is commanded to everyone, not just Muslims. As at that time the were Many Muslims who are bloody related to non Muslims in mecca. It means for peaceful non-Muslims, the default is kindness, justice, and respect Scholars explain it like this: - Love in humanity + justice + kindness → For all people, including non-Muslims who don’t fight us So the command is: Be just, be kind, be good to them. That’s how Islam teaches dawah too. Many Jews & Christians accepted Islam due to the kindness and love prophet Muhammad shows them. I can give you examples
Can anyone help me find a place in the Qur’an where the Prophet tells followers to love people of other religions? I have found dozens of verses that tell believers to fight against non-believers & about 500 that speak of their place in Hell... Key Facts About the Qur’an and Violence 🔺“Slay the unbelievers wherever you find them.” (3:28) 🔺“Muslims must not take the infidels as friends.” (3:85) 🔺“Any religion other than Islam is not acceptable.” (5:33) 🔺“Maim and crucify the infidels if they criticize Islam. (8:12) 🔺“Terrorize and behead those who believe in scriptures other than the Koran.” (8:60) 🔺“Muslims must muster all weapons to terrorize the infidels.” (8:65) 🔺“When opportunity arises kill the infidels wherever you find them.” (9:30) 🔺“The Jews and Christians are perverts, fight them.” (9:123) 🔺“Fight until religion is for Allah alone.” (8:39) 🔺“Strike off their heads and fingertips.” (8:12) 🔺“Kill the idolaters wherever you find them.” (9:5) 🔺“Fight the People of the Book [Jews & Christians] until they pay the tax and feel subdued.” (9:29) 🔺“Fight until religion is for Allah alone.” (8:39) 🔺“Allah loves those who fight in His cause.” (61:4)

You were told that a “good Muslim wife” is quiet. Never disagrees. Never asks difficult questions. Never challenges her husband. But where did that idea actually come from? Because it wasn’t the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
