Traditional leader, #KgoshiLetsiriPhaahla is not backing down on his decision to order foreign nationals to leave the Ga-Phaahla area in the Sekhukhune district, despite facing legal action.
Phaahla has confirmed that he has been served with court papers and the matter expected to be heard on the 27th of November.
According to Phaahla, some foreign nationals ignored eviction orders issued in August and September, prompting a residents' meeting on October 7th, followed by an enforcement order days later.
The action comes as amid concerns by some residents that the foreign nationals sell fake and expired goods and that they use their business premises to sell illegal drugs.
