Bitcoin & Everyone Else This Week
The week's signal, minus the noise. Flows, funding, and market reads below.
Price: ~$64k, ticking up after a week parked in the $62-65k range. Volatility stays rather low.
ETF money came back: US spot ETFs absorbed 14,000+ BTC in five days, and Q3 flows have officially flipped positive. Strongest weekly inflows since mid-April ($853M).
Builders got funded: Six venture deals in the Bitcoin ecosystem in one week. Infrastructure, AI agents, consumer apps. Capital is still sorting for real products.
Macro tailwind: Goldman Sachs now calls a September rate hike "very unlikely" after soft economic data.
The read: Not Financial Adviсe.

A Stanford study found that people who played Pokémon heavily as kids developed a small region of the brain that responds specifically to Pokémon characters.
Researchers scanned adults who grew up playing on Game Boy and showed them images of Pokémon like Pikachu and Bulbasaur.
Their brains lit up in the same exact spot, a consistent area in the visual cortex tied to recognizing specific categories of objects.
The reason comes down to childhood. When you’re young, your brain is more flexible, and spending hours memorizing hundreds of similar-looking Pokémon essentially trained it to carve out space just for them.

THIS GUY LOST $400M OF BITCOIN - BUT IT JUST MOVED
Clifton Collins was an Irish drug dealer who bought 6,000 BTC in 2011-2012. In 2017, he was jailed and his belongings were sent to a dump by his landlord. Police never recovered the seed phrase.
One of the accounts just moved. Who managed to access Collins’s Bitcoin?

Midl is revolutionizing Bitcoin; bringing full Ethereum style smart contracts and dApps directly to BTC — natively.
@midl_xyz brings the no bridges, no wrapped assets, just in-wallet execution with just a signing with everyday regular Bitcoin wallet while we use real BTC/Runes and unlock DeFi, tokens, memes, trading, and more; right on Bitcoin's secure Layer.
Bitcoin stores value perfectly. Midl makes it programmable.
Is it Really Native?
Many Bitcoin DeFi runs on wrapped BTC. Your real Bitcoin gets locked with a custodian, you get an ERC-20 token, and you trust someone will give it back later. It works. Assets flow through these systems daily.
But wrapped assets come with trade-offs:
> Third-party custody
> Bridge delays
> Trust assumptions
> And even the need for EVM wallets.
You're not actually using Bitcoin: you're using a promise.
Midl works differently. Your Bitcoin stays Bitcoin. Your Runes stay Runes. You send real BTC to a decentralized TSS Vault, validators execute smart contracts, you receive real BTC back with results applied.
Same Bitcoin wallet you already use.
Native means: real Bitcoin assets. Execution environment exists, but your assets don't change form.
