Are you a pharmacist specialising in renal medicine?
Take a moment to read about our latest grant awardee and kidney pharmacist, Cathy Pogson. If you’re passionate about driving change in pharmacist-led research, why not apply for one of our grants?
With our funding, Cathy is developing a better kind of medication review - that's a yearly appointment looking at how medications are working and any potential problems - to tailor something specifically for patients with decreased kidney function who often face serious consequences when mixing their many medications.
Cathy and her team will use interviews with patients and their careers, as well as medical professionals, to translate lived experience into a specific medication review for patients with decreased kidney function.
If this review is shown to be effective, we hope it will help future studies that could trial such a review more widely across different hospitals.
Feeling inspired? Find out more on the pharmacist-led research grants here: bit.ly/4n4bYHJ
Closes Wednesday 25 June.
