Yesterday I saw a PT for my neck pain and he confirmed everything I'd been concerned about since I started my @MidlothianHSCP job in one statement: SITTING IS THE NEW SMOKING! And even more worrying for me, Exercise does not negate long periods of sitting!

Well this was a new experience! Today we taught a class of QMU District Nursing students how best to coordinate care in the community for their patients with long term health conditions. It seemed to go really well. They all want to work in Midlothian now! ππ

End of an era for @NHS_Lothian as our much loved Site Director @LynMcDonald13 chairs her last safety huddle. She was 1st in Scotland to lead an adult site safety huddle and shaped the culture for Scotland on how to approach patient safety as a site team. We will miss her visionπ
