The average number of days per year in the U.S. reaching 95°F was ~18% lower during the 60-year period 1961 to 2020 compared to 1901 to 1960.
The number of days reaching 100°F and 105°F have also declined since 1895.
More than half of Americans say this summer is hotter than usual, and two-thirds suspect climate change is to blame for worse summer weather.

We're told that extreme weather is getting worse, but the data tell a different story.
Global hurricane counts have shown no upward trend since 1980, even as carbon dioxide rose from around 340 to over 420 parts per million.
Strong US tornadoes have declined since the 1950s. The most violent storms are now less frequent.
Worldwide, the area burned by wildfires has dropped sharply for more than a century, from nearly 5 million km2 a year back in 1900 to under 3.5 million today.
And climate-related deaths from floods, droughts, storms and extreme temperatures have collapsed by more than 99% since 1920.

It is July 2026, and Western Arctic ice coverage is holding at 94% - the highest early July reading since 2013.
The region covers about 1.3 million km2 and includes the waters leading into the Northwest Passage - the sector often used to sell the "opening Arctic" scare story. But 2026 is running as one of the strongest ice years in the Canadian record back to 1981.
High arctic temperatures, north of 80N, are still struggling to rise above freezing even into the second week of July. In 2026 the melt season threshold has barely arrived which is unprecedented in record books dating back to 1958.
Western Arctic ice is at a 13 year high.
The High Arctic has never been colder.

Whenever I spend 1 minute looking into the facts, the truth always turns out to be totally different than what anti-Israel obsessives imply.
The headline is painting a narrative that Israel has perhaps intentionally sabotaged Trump's negotiations by attacking Iran.
Israel—boo! They're controlling us!
But I found it odd that the headline didn't say Israel attacked Iran, but merely began a "fresh bombing campaign." Smells like potential narrative manipulation by omission.
Turns out that my intuition was correct. Israel did not bomb Iran, they bombed Hezbollah in Lebanon. And they did it because Hezbollah launched dozens of rockets and drones at Israel on May 30-31. So it makes total sense why Israel began a "fresh bombing campaign."
In other words, the Daily Mail manipulated a story about Israel responding to attacks by Iran's terror proxy into a headline designed to make people believe Israel purposefully decided to sabotage Trump’s diplomacy with Iran by attacking them unprovoked.
It's a perfect example of how a headline can be factually correct in a very narrow sense by omitting context to serve as reality-inverting propaganda.
