The right choice I feel. He took a job not many would have touched last season but the ambitions of the club are maybe beyond him. Big decision as to who is next #swfc
Sheffield Wednesday Football Club confirms that Henrik Pedersen has left the club with immediate effect.
Henrik led the first team through an exceptional period in the club's history, providing stability and leadership during a time of significant uncertainty and change.
The club would like to place on record its sincere thanks to Henrik for his contribution and wishes him every success in the future.
Sporting Director Simon Wilson said: “First and foremost, I want to thank Henrik for his professionalism, commitment and contribution during an exceptionally challenging period for Sheffield Wednesday.
“We knew the start of this season would be difficult due to the scale of change across the club, but our expectation was always that we would develop as the season progressed, establishing a recognisable style of play and greater consistency in our performances.
“Although we have accumulated points, we haven’t seen enough progress in those areas. We believe making a change now gives us the best opportunity to establish those foundations and build towards the second half of the season and beyond.
“We remain ambitious about what we can achieve this campaign, and our focus remains on building a Sheffield Wednesday team with a clear identity, capable of delivering sustained improvement and long-term success.”
Matt Hamshaw will take interim charge of the first team while the club undertakes the process of appointing its next Head Coach.
The club will provide further updates when appropriate.
Time is not a healer. Not when its your Mum and Dad. Every day hurts but I carry on best I can for my 2 Girls. I miss you folks 💔🥲
Football will always fuck with you, 2-0 down with minutes to go and then this to rescue a point. Unbelievable. BUT...#swfc #pedersenout
Anthony Gordon is fast becoming a very very likeable footballer. An old fashioned winger wanting to take on a full back. Nice
Worked 1 random night shift last night, feel like my body is gonna take days to recover 🤣 4 hours sleep since 6am yesterday is no good for an old boy like me
How long before we ask questions about HP...2 consecutive home games we have been lucky not to lose. The players are good, my worry is the manager is not and doesn't deserve another free ride like last season #swfc
Wednesday are only the second team in nine games this season to have stopped Stockport from scoring...
Obviously the issues with scoring goals is a concern, but the clean sheet is definitely a positive against this team. #SWFC

I made this video last year after learning the heartbreaking cause of Ricky Hattons death. I was out walking to @ChatsworthHouse and thinking.
As today marks the 1 year anniversary of Ricky’s death I wanted to share it again.
I think it’s so vitally important that we again come together & keep talking & raising awareness around #mentalhealth
Over 80 men a week in the U.K die by suicide - that’s over 12 a day
It’s the single biggest killer of men in the UK under 50
Plz never tell someone to man up
Lads if you’re struggling remember:
It does NOT make you less of a man
You deserve to be here
You are loved
We care ❤️
Suicide is not selfish. Suicide is, normally, death caused by the illness of depression. It is the final symptom.
A final collapse under unbearable weight. Suicide is a tragedy. If you have never been close to that edge try not to judge what you can't understand 🙏

Have to win, and win well. Nothing else should keep HP in the job #swfc

Arrive hungry to this Worksop bakery - there's plenty you'll want to sample trib.al/FjNkP54
It's only been 100 days after 10+ years of absolute shit. Give them all time to rebuild before judging and criticising #swfc
