Questions of political bias clouded everything in 2025, and pop music was no exception. Glastonbury was rocked by an enormous controversy, reported in full by the Eye.

I was convinced that this was a cover back then. It was so immediate and catchy. Even aged 14 I thought, "naw they don't write them like that anymore."
Live on The Word in 1990, There She Goes by The La’s delivered its jangly guitars and haunting simplicity with a raw charm that highlighted the song’s timeless quality. First released in 1988 and later included on their 1990 self titled album, it peaked at number thirteen on the UK Singles Chart during its reissue in 1990. With its stripped back sound, cryptic lyrics and lasting influence, it went on to become one of the most recognisable songs of the era and a defining moment for the band.
