Michigan’s energy bills keep climbing. But it doesn’t have to be this way. :bulb: Rate hikes driven by utility profits are part of what got us here. Investing in clean energy and a modern grid is how we bring costs down for good. Lower bills. More energy independence. A Michigan built for the future. That’s what’s at stake.

A lifetime of showing up for Michigan. 🌲 We're honoring Detroit icon Steve Hamp with our Lifetime Achievement Award. As a longtime member of the Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund, he's helped protect public lands for conservation and recreation across the state and his work with the Detroit Riverfront Conservancy has helped keep the riverfront beautiful, safe, and open to all. Be there as we celebrate a lifelong conservationist and dedicated philanthropist. Oct 7 · Detroit Gala michiganlcv.org/gala

Some fights take a fearless champion. Michigan's got one. 💪 For eight years, Attorney General Dana Nessel has stood up to big utilities on behalf of Michiganders facing relentless rate hikes and has led the charge to protect the Great Lakes by challenging Enbridge's Line 5. We're proud to honor her with our Legacy of Courage Award. Come celebrate a steadfast defender of the people and place we call home. A win for Michigan ratepayers! A federal appeals court just struck down the Trump administration's "emergency" order forcing the Campbell coal plant to stay open -- an order costing $640,000 a day. We commend Dana Nessel (@MIAttyGen) for working to challenge Trump's illegal overreach that's raising our energy costs. Read More: michiganlcv.org/u-s-district…

A win for our water. 🌊 Gov. Whitmer & EGLE will reconsider the permits for Enbridge's Line 5 tunnel through the Straits of Mackinac. A 73-year-old pipeline threatening 700+ miles of Great Lakes shoreline is one step closer to shutdown. Read more: michiganlcv.org/states-recon…

The drama is real — and it's happening in our own backyard. Climate change isn't a distant plotline. In Michigan, we feel it through water: extreme weather, disappearing cold-water fish, contaminated drinking water, and rivers changing before our eyes. The stakes? Lives, millions of dollars, and our future. The real villain? The failure to hold corporations accountable. It's time to change the script.

Big night. Big voice to call it. 🎙️ We're thrilled to have Mike Tirico (@miketirico) the voice of NBC's Sunday Night Football — as emcee for this year's Detroit Gala. A three-time individual Sports Emmy winner and National Sports Media Association Hall of Famer, he made history in 2026 as the first U.S. broadcaster to call the Super Bowl and host the Winter Olympics in the same year. Award-winning broadcaster. Environmental event of the year. Perfect lineup. Oct 7 · Elevate at One Campus Martius michiganlcv.org/galamichigan…

It's official!! Money Out of Politics will be on your ballot this November. This is what people power looks like — a chance for Michiganders to decide whether corporate cash gets to drown out our voices in our own elections. Mark your calendar. On November 3, the choice is ours!

Michigan’s Great Lakes are central to our way of life. Today in Petoskey, I joined @MichiganLCV, @greatlakesbusinessnetwork partners, @TroutUnlimited and Northern Michigan conservation leaders to talk about the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative and how it supports our water, our fisheries, conservation, and Michigan’s significant outdoor economy. Nothing is more important to Michigan than our clean water.
