Wise words. This weird form of denial shown by the West and Europe I call ethnocentricity. Believing that you know another culture better than those that actually live with the culture. It also involves a belief that others want to be just like you and only need a chance to see the way.

The world’s most beautiful milk shop, founded in 1880 by the Pfund brothers in Dresden, Germany.
I spent the entire day dealing with redundant meaningless documentation and regulation. It would be so interesting to see a research study which determined the amount of money wasted on regulation not to mention the impact on worker burnout and destruction of creative energy.

Hersh was one of the sweetest boys I knew. He was the last person I said goodbye to at shul on the evening of October 6, 2023. I think about him every day. Simchat Torah will never be the same.
Glad to see this hero is recovering.

Such a great song.
Enjoying the view while it is still mine. I have loved this house and this little farm with all my heart. I will miss it terribly but time for a new adventure.

"I Don't See It the Way You See It" Is Not a Diagnosis
A patient who reports a new symptom after an intervention deserves the same workup they'd get if it had appeared out of nowhere. Rule out what's rule-out-able, document what's left, and say plainly when you don't know. People aren't walking away from medicine because a doctor disagreed with them.
They're walking away because they were told their experience DIDN'T HAPPEN. "I don't know, but let's find out" keeps a patient who'd otherwise be building a treatment plan alone at 2am. @stinchfield1776
