Happy Pride Month! 🌈❤️
Love is love, and I’m PROUD to stand as an ally for every identity, every voice, and every heart. 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️✨
Honored to have County Executive Aisha Braveboy @PortTownsES yesterday! 💙💛 What a tremendous honor! We celebrated Women’s History Month w/a culminating read-aloud 📚✨ featuring community & senior readers, Bladensburg Mayor Takisha James, & Leslie Johnson. #PantherPRIDE 💙💛
💙💛GRATEFUL! 😍 Came back yesterday like I never left—who knew I’d been gone since Feb 11 caring for my mom after a fall & surgery?! Strong leadership-APs, content leaders & teachers—keeps things running smoothly even in your absence 🙌 Excited to be back! 💙💛🐾 #PantherPride
😂 Pretty sure I’m officially on Santa’s naughty list—because he sent his ENTIRE deer entourage to handle business. 🦌🎅
NINE deer. Outside my house. Friday night. 11pm.
Message received, Santa. 😳
A huge THANK YOU to the Town of Bladensburg, Mayor James, & the Bladensburg Police Dept for organizing the Annual Shop w/a Cop! 💙🚓🎉 Because of your heart & commitment, scholars from five Bladensburg schools enjoyed an unforgettable holiday shopping experience at Walmart 🛍️🎁🎄
The @PortTownsES staff is wide-awake & actively engaged in our Equity PD this morning! 💙💛 Great conversations about bullying & being an ally or bystander. Excited for today's learning! 🎉
✅ Day 1 of the @PortTownsES Leadership Retreat was a HUGE success! 🎉 We reflected on last year’s wins, tackled big goals for SY25-26, & left feeling inspired! 😍
💡 Can’t wait to keep the momentum going tomorrow! #PTESPantherPride #ProudPrincipal
🎉Career Day @PortTownsES was a HUGE success! 🤩 We had 40+ guests speak w/our scholars! Nurse, photographer, scientist, author, emergency services, councilwomen, Deputy State's Attorney, a PGCPS student, employee, school board member & MORE! #Grateful 🥰
On Saturday, we celebrated my dear friend Jessica, who bravely fought ampullary cancer. For 47 years, we shared laughs, tears, & adventures. She made me 'Auntie Chelle' to her girls-a role I cherish. 😍 Life won't be the same, but I smile at the memories. 💕

The 2nd pic is a collage that I did for our 40th birthdays, Jess was actually 2 days older than me. I LOL 😂 when I look back on our kindergarten photos. Who knew that would be the beginning of a lifelong friendship?! ❤️
Great meeting BOE District 7 Board Member Dr. Phelton Moss at Ascencion Baptist Church today! 🤩 As a District 7 resident since 1998 & a PGCPS Principal, I'm inspired by his work for our students & educators. Check out our Port Towns educators, too! 🎉
Happening now @PortTownsES! Growing Together Parent PRIDE event! 💙💛 The focus is on home buying, loans, & financial literacy. We are grateful to have Century 21 & USA Loans on-site to support our families in achieving their dream of 🏡 ownership. 🥰
Happy Black History Month! Thought we could all use a dose of the Obamas right about now! 😍
From our earliest days, Black history has always been American history – and Black folks have profoundly shaped our American culture through music, art, literature, sports, and beyond. One month a year is not sufficient to celebrate the power of the movements and the people who have fought for the rights we enjoy today. That’s something that we have to do each and every day, as we strive to live up to their example and make sure our children and grandchildren remember their stories.
We got about an inch of snow ❄️ this morning in NEPA! 🥰 Gotta be happy about a white Christmas! 🎅🏾🎄🤶🏽 – at Throop, PA
😍 I'm very GRATEFUL for my Port Towns team, who came on a Saturday to be part of this WONDERFUL event! 🎉 PEA: Mr. Avalos, Security Asst.: Mrs. Montgomery, K Teacher: Mrs. Favazza, CSC: Mrs. Dowe, & Reading Leaders: Mrs. Reid & Ms. Young. 😃 My ❤️ is FULL! – at Bladensburg, MD

Spreading warmth and joy this winter, one coat at a time! @ChiefAzizPGPD and Community First Division Officers teamed up with Roger Heights Elementary & Port Town Elementary to donate coats, hats, and gloves for deserving students and keep them cozy this winter.

🤩 Standing room only at our "Attendance Matters" Parent Workshop! I'm encouraged that this will help to reduce our Chronic Absenteeism for SY24-25! @PortTownsES is on a MISSION! Grateful for the commitment from our staff & families! #ProudPrincipal 😍 – at Bladensburg, MD
