NEW from me: @AllinaHealth will pause its controversial practices that allegedly resulted in some patients with medical debt being denied care:
mprnews.org/story/2023/06/09…
This comes one week after @sarahkliff and @jbsgreenberg broke the story. In response to their reporting, @AGEllison asked anyone with knowledge of the policy or practices to contact his office.
mprnews.org/story/2023/06/02…
AG Ellison said in a statement today that his office has heard from “a good number of Allina patients” in the last week. ⬇️

ALT I continue to be concerned about reports of Allina denying needed non-emergency medical care solely on the basis of medical debt. In the last week, my office has heard from a good number of Allina patients who have shared their own upsetting stories of being denied care for this reason. I continue to encourage anyone who has experienced or is familiar with these practices to contact the Attorney General’s office.

Check out this almost unbelievable time-lapse of wildfire smoke consuming the World Trade Center and the New York City skyline.
Those vulnerable to poor air quality, including seniors and young children, should limit time outdoors if possible.
