And, since the NFL claims to host a “Super” Bowl, we should play it over a 7-day period with minimal breaks. And, the NBA should have a best of two series to decide its champion. In tennis, we should play the U.S. Open in other countries. Goochisms are lining up!
🚨5️⃣4️⃣ #FOR THE FANS — LIV Golf star Talor Gooch questions golf having 72 hole events and says 54 holes is more exciting for fans: “It’s just funny to me, this arbitrary number of 72… Why is it not 90? “Why is it not 108? We just decided to make that number the number, for what reason? Everyone’s talked about world ranking points and all this stuff, but no one’s talked about what do the fans enjoy more? People want something that’s going to be more exciting. And I personally think that 54 holes is more exciting for the fans.” (Via: @BunkeredOnline) Do you agree with Talor?

There is no universe in which a company with annual revenue of $4.1 million in revenue and LOST $58 million in one year is worth $10 billion. The Trump media merger with Digital World Acquisition was meant to be a massive infusion of cash to Donald--a gift masquerading as an investment.

Praying for this guy’s next demotion. The Navy found him incompetent to do his job; de-ranked him. Trump picked him up as a willing dupe and promoted him to Chief Medical Sycophant. Now he is in the praise choir for his former boss and all the “other” haters. PATHETIC.
Democrats are PATHETIC. They’re more upset with Biden for saying “an illegal” last night than they are about an illegal killing Laken Riley! The Dems know who their real constituents are!

Here is George Clooney’s response after Trump accused him of being a "Hollywood elite." "Here’s the thing: I grew up in Kentucky. I sold insurance door-to-door. I sold ladies’ shoes. I worked at an all-night liquor store. I would buy suits that were too big and too long and cut the bottom of the pants off to make ties so I’d have a tie to go on job interviews. I grew up understanding what it was like to not have health insurance for eight years. So this idea that I’m somehow the “Hollywood elite” and this guy who takes a shit in a gold toilet is somehow the man of the people is laughable. People in Hollywood, for the most part, are people from the Midwest who moved to Hollywood to have a career. So this idea of “coastal elites” living in a bubble is ridiculous. Who lives in a bigger bubble? He lives in a gold tower and has twelve people in his company. He doesn’t run a corporation of hundreds of thousands of people he employs and takes care of. He ran a company of twelve people! When you direct a film you have seven different unions all wanting different things, you have to find consensus with all of them, and you have to get them moving in the same direction. He’s never had to do any of that kind of stuff. I just look at it and I laugh when I see him say “Hollywood elite.” Hollywood elite? I don’t have a star on Hollywood Boulevard, Donald Trump has a star on Hollywood Boulevard! Fuck you!" - George Clooney actor, philanthropist, humanitarian & activist

To Recap: Speaker Johnson said he wouldn’t pass a national security bill without a border deal. President Biden and a bipartisan group of Senators negotiated a border deal. Speaker Johnson rejected the border deal. The Senate passed a national security bill without a border deal. Speaker Johnson says he won’t bring the national security bill for a vote because it doesn’t include a border deal. Make it make sense!

A British writer penned the best description of Donald Trump I’ve ever read: “Why do some British people not like Donald Trump?” A few things spring to mind. Trump lacks certain qualities which the British traditionally esteem. For instance, he has no class, no charm, no coolness, no credibility, no compassion, no wit, no warmth, no wisdom, no subtlety, no sensitivity, no self-awareness, no humility, no honour and no grace – all qualities, funnily enough, with which his predecessor Mr. Obama was generously blessed. So for us, the stark contrast does rather throw Trump’s limitations into embarrassingly sharp relief. Plus, we like a laugh. And while Trump may be laughable, he has never once said anything wry, witty or even faintly amusing – not once, ever. I don’t say that rhetorically, I mean it quite literally: not once, not ever. And that fact is particularly disturbing to the British sensibility – for us, to lack humour is almost inhuman. But with Trump, it’s a fact. He doesn’t even seem to understand what a joke is – his idea of a joke is a crass comment, an illiterate insult, a casual act of cruelty. Trump is a troll. And like all trolls, he is never funny and he never laughs; he only crows or jeers. And scarily, he doesn’t just talk in crude, witless insults – he actually thinks in them. His mind is a simple bot-like algorithm of petty prejudices and knee-jerk nastiness. There is never any under-layer of irony, complexity, nuance or depth. It’s all surface. Some Americans might see this as refreshingly upfront. Well, we don’t. We see it as having no inner world, no soul. And in Britain we traditionally side with David, not Goliath. All our heroes are plucky underdogs: Robin Hood, Dick Whittington, Oliver Twist. Trump is neither plucky, nor an underdog. He is the exact opposite of that. He’s not even a spoiled rich-boy, or a greedy fat-cat. He’s more a fat white slug. A Jabba the Hutt of privilege. And worse, he is that most unforgivable of all things to the British: a bully. That is, except when he is among bullies; then he suddenly transforms into a snivelling sidekick instead. There are unspoken rules to this stuff – the Queensberry rules of basic decency – and he breaks them all. He punches downwards – which a gentleman should, would, could never do – and every blow he aims is below the belt. He particularly likes to kick the vulnerable or voiceless – and he kicks them when they are down. So the fact that a significant minority – perhaps a third – of Americans look at what he does, listen to what he says, and then think ‘Yeah, he seems like my kind of guy’ is a matter of some confusion and no little distress to British people, given that: • Americans are supposed to be nicer than us, and mostly are. • You don’t need a particularly keen eye for detail to spot a few flaws in the man. This last point is what especially confuses and dismays British people, and many other people too; his faults seem pretty bloody hard to miss. After all, it’s impossible to read a single tweet, or hear him speak a sentence or two, without staring deep into the abyss. He turns being artless into an art form; he is a Picasso of pettiness; a Shakespeare of shit. His faults are fractal: even his flaws have flaws, and so on ad infinitum. God knows there have always been stupid people in the world, and plenty of nasty people too. But rarely has stupidity been so nasty, or nastiness so stupid. He makes Nixon look trustworthy and George W look smart. In fact, if Frankenstein decided to make a monster assembled entirely from human flaws – he would make a Trump. And a remorseful Doctor Frankenstein would clutch out big clumpfuls of hair and scream in anguish: ‘My God… what… have… I… created?' If being a twat was a TV show, Trump would be the boxed set.” -Nate White

Said a different way: Rand Paul: “The United States is willing to abandon any ally that is in conflict with Mr. Putin and his peaceful efforts to spread Communism across the globe.”
To avoid a government shutdown, I will consent to an expedited vote on a clean CR without Ukraine aid on it. If leadership insists on funding another country’s government at the expense of our own government, all blame rests with their intransigence.

Prediction: a Saudi investor will pay the $1 billion - with a $1-a-year leaseback and a gift clause that would return it to the Trumps after a few years. Already in for more than a few billion, Saudis seem to like the investment in Trump/Kushner Grifting, Inc. Wonder why?
In an attempt to destroy my father and kick him out of New York, a Judge just ruled that Mar-a-Lago, in Palm Beach Florida, is only worth approximate “$18 Million dollars”… Mar-a-Lago is speculated to be worth we’ll over a billion dollars making it arguably the most valuable residential property in the country. It is all so corrupt and coordinated.

Republican right, led down the path by Trump, continues to hand other people over to Putin, because, well, he seems strong, and those people need to have some authority. Putin is loving this adulation from the GOP leadership, who all want to line up for communism for some reason.
Today I'm putting congressional leadership & @POTUS on notice that I will oppose any effort to hold the federal government hostage for Ukraine funding. I will not consent to expedited passage of any spending measure that provides any more US aid to Ukraine.   apnews.com/article/congress-…

J.D. Vance is a fool. His naive take on foreign policy is best stated: “Putin will have to go through New York and those other elite cesspools before he gets to Ohio. We will defend ourselves with our own weapons. Or, maybe surrender so we get our dictator.” Enemy of democracy.
Yesterday at a classified briefing over Ukraine, it became clear that America is being asked to fund an indefinite conflict with unlimited resources. Enough is enough. To these and future requests, my colleagues and I say: NO.

Always, always completely trust someone who says “to be honest…” Graham is controlled by Donald Trump. This is a political campaign ad aired on a purported news station. Oh, and “honest” has little to do with anything Graham utters lately.
Bolling: You spent a lot of time with Joe Biden. Did you find him as corrupt as he is now? Graham: To be honest with you. He was a friend. I traveled the world with him. All this stuff blows me away.. This is a side I didn't know much about

So, some of the boxes did not include secrets. Duh. Let’s try to make folks think none of them did, as this “Report” does so as to continue the misinformation campaign. The defendant’s statements and the dozens of pages of specifics in the charging docs? Worth a read vs. this.
BREAKING: Newly unsealed court documents in Trump indictment reveal that DOJ-laced pictures of Mar-a-Lago boxes did not contain state secrets.

Growing up Southern, I was corrected often - liBRARians instead of liBERians. GOP cancelling and censorship toward librarians may contribute to blunders like this. Has the GOP culture warrior crowd burned all the flag books? Librarians and Liberians may be wondering.
BREAKING: In a hilarious, embarrassing, and VERY telling mistake, the official Twitter account of the Republican Party tweets and then, after being ridiculed, deleted its happy Fourth of July message to the American people. Their humiliating mistake became quickly apparent when Twitter users noticed that instead of tweeting the American flag, the Republican Party instead tweeted the flag of Liberia, an African nation that was established as a colony for formerly enslaved Black Americans. For a party that obsessed over “patriotism,” and threw a baby tantrum over the Biden White House celebrating Pride Month by erecting a pride flag, it’s very telling that the official Twitter account of the Republican Party doesn’t even know what the American flag looks like. While Republican fascists love to drape themselves in the flag, they defend Trump, a Russian asset who was recently charged by America’s Justice Department with multiple counts of violating counts of the Espionage Act. They make claim to be “patriots,” but the rest of us see right through them — and today’s telling blunder only further confirms that the Republican Party continues to stray father and farther from American values. Please retweet and ❤️ to expose the phony Republican Party — and consider investing in Tribel, a “woke” new Twitter competitor that is currently doing a round of equity crowdfunding and just blew past $2.4 million raised from 6,200 of its users. If you want to own a small piece of what is quickly becoming the “next big thing” in social media, here is the link to do so, wefunder.com/Tribel. You can invest as little as $100 — or as much as you’d like. Here’s the link to download the new Tribel app that Elon Musk is so afraid of: tribel.app.link/okwPIHYCIqb
