This is so good. Seriously - watch this. He does an excellent job explaining why the Palestinian hoax works so well on "Western suckers who need to feel morally superior while staying intellectually lazy." So many gems in this video. I don’t know who he is, but he’s incredibly sharp. A must-watch.

In the popular media, Musk is branded a “tech” guy. In reality, he knows how to make things efficiently. If you teach or are interested in operations management, I found Isaacson's book full of great stories and lessons.

Many books about successful people don't stress the role of stamina. Isaacson's Elon Musk book is an exception. It is filled with examples of his stamina. It is a good data point to back up @robinhanson's observation on its importance.

ChatGPT is red-hot. Here are the three things people get wrong about AI: One, they assume AI means super-human intelligence. Two, they don’t realize AI refers to many different things. Three, they forget lessons from economics. Here 's more: miketalksai.substack.com/p/t…

I saw some tweets about web3 builders "discovering" AI. The enthusiasm of @thesamparr and @ShaanVP on their recent "AI Gold Rush" episode made me think that we are entering the third wave of AI. Here is the blog for more: miketalksai.substack.com/p/a…
Great contrarian post from Pete. He manages to reference @JFPuget, @mluebbecke, Winston Churchill, and the Moneyball movie. Blood, Sweat, and Tears miketalksai.substack.com/p/b…

My five AI lessons from the @lexfridman interview of @elonmusk. 1. Should I be less skeptical of self-driving cars? 2. AI projects need big teams 3. Speed matters 4. Variability matters 5. Deep learning is eating software miketalksai.substack.com/p/f…

I think there is a lot of confusion around how people use the term "AI." I've found categorizing AI as two definitions helps. Both types of AI are interesting and evolving fast. miketalksai.substack.com/p/w…

Trying to do my small part to speed up the pace of vaccinations. The world of manufacturing has been studying how to get more throughput for decades. There are many ideas that we could borrow from there to help get shots in arms faster. Spread the word. linkedin.com/pulse/increasin…
